The villa has three floors, The ground floor is an independent apartment of two bedrooms and two baths, which can also be made available if required (additional privacy and number of guests)

The upper part of the villa has two floors with 450 SQ m living space excluding the verandas. It has 4 bedrooms, three and a half baths, private verandas all with fantastic views. The Master bedroom suit has a private sitting room, luxurious bathroom with shower and whirlpool, expanse of two private verandas overlooking the Aegean. A laundry room with private veranda. Huge gourmet kitchen with island. dinette draped with 4 windows overlooking the Aegean. Large family room with top of the line TV, VCR, DVD, many games, movies. Open floor living room, dinning room, circular sitting room and two large verandas with fantastic views.

The private back yard is a natural rock garden a short walk from the top of the hill where you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the mountains, the bay and the sea. A large covered gas BBQ area is perfect for cooking and gatherings. The Hot Tub will entice many a guest to spend the evenings at home! Note that the Hot Tub is only operational from June through September.

 

THE AEGEAN SEA: Only a short distance down the hill side on a short 3 minute drive by car you can enjoy delightful swims, snorkeling, or diving off the rocky coast in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea. Diving off the rocks is fun and popular. The fish and other marine life are delightful to watch while snorkeling. The rocky coastline abounds with secluded spots perfect for sunbathing in privacy.

SCHINIAS BEACH: perhaps one of the best beaches in the world for small children and adults with poor swimming skills located only 3 minutes away by car. The water is crystal clear and shallow. Small children and toddlers can wade approximately one hundred meters out to sea and still be in water that is not over their heads. Adults must wade about 300 meters out to reach chest deep water. The beach is protected and rarely has waves of any size. It does not have any currents or tides to endanger children. Unlike most beaches in Greece, Schinias Beach is a sand beach with a pine forest growing down to the water’s edge. It is perfect for picnics. Needless to say, it is very popular with Greek parents.

ENVIRONMENTAL PARK: Schinias offers a unique retreat in one of the most splendid and environmentally protected locations of Attica, a breath away from the historic site of Marathon. The inland Schinias plain is mostly wetlands and a stop over for migratory fowl during the winter. Thanks to the Olympic Games of 2004 the Greek government stopped the drainage of the wetlands and they are reverting to their natural state. The wetlands border on the Marathon plain, the site of the Battle of Marathon. The western part of Schinias is a large crescent beach of fine sand, a National Park beach with an umbrella pine forest providing shade down to the waters edge. Many water related resorts and taverns are located within the forest providing tasty foods, refreshing drinks, and a variety of water sports. This environment is perfect for families and people in general who want to relax and socialize.

NIGHTLIFE: Privacy and nature beauty is what our community offers. Nightlife is only a few minutes away, a short ride to the nearest town of Nea Makri. Go out to eat, dance and mil around at the square, go shopping, watch the people, and then come home away from it all.

On the beach of Schinias, there are wonderful sports facilities which are rated the best in the Attiki area. You can spend the day there, swimming, jet skiing, sailing, playing voley ball, having lunch, dinner, enjoy the music and the relaxed atmosphere. It is great for families, young and old alike.
 

EXCURSIONS: You want to go see the islands for a day or two, or just a few hours, you have several opportunities to do so. The port of Rafina is 30 minutes away. You can visit several islands you like from there. A day trip will take you to Andros, Tinos, Mikonos and Karystos. Just down the hill from us within 10 minutes you can take the ferry across to Evia, take a ride, and be back for dinner.

If you want to go into Athens, you can leave your car at the station, and take the beautiful, clean air-conditioned bus into Athens and leave the driving to the Greeks. Within 30 minutes you will be at the metro station down town from where you can go anywhere you please.

The national highway is within 30 minutes form the villa. If driving and exploring the mainland is to your liking, it is quick and easy. Corinth is 1.5 hours away, Delphi 2.5 hours, Mycenae is 2 hours and many other fabulous spots waiting for your discovery.

If you do not want to drive, we can recommend an excellent English speaking private chauffer who can drive his car (less than 6) or yours, whichever you feel is most appropriate. He can recommend many day trips to fit your interests, from trekking in Evia, or visiting Delphi, or spending the day in Athens visiting the antiquities, adding a bit of shopping for soem of those souvenirs you have to buy and finishing the day with dinner at an upscale restaurant with authentic Greek cuisine overlooking Athens!  

A beautiful vacation villa close to the most pristine beach of Attiki, Schinias. It is located on the hill of a gated community. The top two floors of the villa offer 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths (two en-suite) and have 450 Sq m living space, excluding the verandas. There are 150 sq m of verandas, most covered. The lower part of the villa is an independent 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment, 150 sq m which can also be rented if more space is required. The lower floor communicates with the upper floors via an internal stair case. The whole villa can provide 6 bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths, two kitchens, 2 living rooms, family room, and private sitting room. We do not rent the two parts of the villa independently to preserve privacy.

The villa comprises 6 bedrooms in total; 5 double, 1 twin and 2 cots, 3 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 2 double sofa beds located in the Family room, living room. This gives room for up to 17 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 5 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio. A computer with Internet connection is also available for your use. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and a fax machine.

There is room for 15 in the living room and 15 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a north facing garden, a south facing patio area (with heater), a south facing balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside a beach, swimming, water skiing, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, a sports center, scuba diving.

Close to the villa you will find boat hire, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a food shop.

Jeremy says: "The Stargazer was a wonderful get-away place. Our seven person event was a fabulous success. We felt like the place was just the way it was written about and we fell in love with the view. We were well looked after and taken care of with enough space to enjoy our vacation. Stavros and Rosa (neighbors and the villa upkeepers in off season) were just excellent in making us feel at home and welcome even though we probably seemed very dependent on them. The community store was not a long walk down the hill and was an enjoyable walk back up the hill. The fish taverns on the beach were a less than spectacular, therefore we suggest cooking in the more than adequate kitchen. For the short stay vacationers the suggested driver is wonderful to and from the airport and you do not need a car to rent. We opted for the 45 minute walk from the beach to the house. Long vacationers may want a car for personal enjoyment and to get from the super market, Athens, and other desired places. THE VIEW!!! The VIEW!!! The VIEW!!! The pictures do not even compare to what the eye could see in person. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay Stavros and Despina, you have done a wonderful job on keeping up the place."
