Villa Alliston is a beautiful house in Villasavary a typical french village situated in the Languedoc area near the magnificent walled cit'e of Carcassonne in the South of France.

The entire house is more than 200 years old and fully renovated with original exposed beams and rafters. The huge open plan living room is wood floored and has a wood burning stove for winter use. There are 4 sofas together with desk, various tables, bookcases etc, colour TV/video and radio/CD player with a large selection of books, games, videos and CD’s. There is also a play station.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed and cot if required.

Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds and an extra single pull out if needed. [ sleeps 3 ]

3rd sleeping area containing a single bed on the large upstairs landing that can be screened off with drapes for privacy.

There is also an additional double sofa bed in the living room.

Bathroom - Bath, WC, basin and fully tiled shower cubicle.

The kitchen - This is the same size as the living room and has a fridge/freezer, gas cooker, microwave and washing machine, along with all other necessities one needs eg. plates, cups/saucers, knives/forks, glasses, bottle openers/scissors, iron/ironing-board.

The dining table seats 6 easily and there is also a three piece cottage suite to relax in after dinner.

Private Garden - The kitchen opens out onto the terracotta tiled terrace and long garden with sunbeds, table, chairs, BBQ and plunge pool. Enjoy breakfast or lunch in the sun on the terrace, or barbecue your evening meal outside.

If you love to gaze at the stars after dark then this is just the place for you. With no light pollution the sky looks amazing.

A lockable garage directly opposite the house is for your personal use ideal if you are travelling with bikes or fishing equipment etc.

The village house comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single and 1 cots. The property also has 2 double sofa beds located in the LIVING ROOM. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The village house has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the village house cool.

The village house has television video, dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and a fax machine.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this village house.

Pets are not welcome

The village house is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The village house is right beside walking, cycling, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the village house you will find fishing, historic sites.

Within easy reach of the village house you will find swimming, sailing, boat hire, wind surfing, climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, skiing/snowboarding, golf, a museum, a zoo, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.

Nick says: " Arrived at villa Alliston not knowing what to expect and found small terraced house on a narrow street. We opened the door and could not imagine what we found ! It opened up into a 3 story house with fantastic views over lush green French countryside. A light and airy living room. Upstairs 2 large bedrooms and a space on the landing for another single bed which could be screened off. The large kitchen had all the facilities you would need and led out to the private patio area and down to the plunge pool. We have not done a holiday like this before and you could call it beginners luck (due to the vast choice) but Villa Alliston was fantastic and would recomend it and use it again. A truly rustic French holiday. Thank you Christine and Mick."
