Set in lush tropical gardens on Sandy Lane, Ca’Limbo is a six-bedroom Barbados villa with tremendous flexibility. With four bedrooms in the main villa and two in the stylish guest cottage, the main villa itself easily divides for families to share.

Built around its stunning pool, the main body of the villa has two separate bedroom wings. The west wing has a double bedroom on the ground floor opening directly on to the garden. The east has the huge master bedroom and study area on the first floor, with balconies overlooking the pool on one side and with sea views on the other. On the ground floor of that wing are two bedrooms, one with twin beds and the other a double, again opening directly on to the garden. All bedrooms have en suite dressing rooms, bathrooms (with large showers), air conditioning and ceiling fans.

Enjoying the cooling breezes of the Trade Winds, the living accommodation is a wonderful mix of indoor and outdoor areas. The principal dining room/living room runs through the middle of the main villa and is flanked on both sides by large terraces, one overlooking the pool and the other the gardens. Both are ideal for dining or generally relaxing. The proximity of the terrace to the pool offers the unusual luxury of being able to sip cocktails while watching children in the pool but once they are not around, the unusual and original pool setting creates a private and romantic ambience, especially at night.

The guest cottage is an amazing study in design, built in a circular style, with its own secluded plunge pool and terrace. It has clever cantilevered doors which when raised open the cottage to the pool deck while providing shade at the same time. There are two bedrooms, one a double and one twin bedded, each of which is air conditioned with ceiling fan and has its own en suite shower room. Unusually, for a guest cottage it also has its own equipped kitchen.

 

Within this fabulous villa there are lots of things to keep both yourself and/or your children occupied. (If relaxing by the pool wasn't enough for you!!) There is an air-conditioned study and television room which comes fully equipped with Satellite TV, DVD, video, playstation 2 and video/dvd/game library. There is also a huge games room (also air-conditioned) including table tennis, air-hockey and table football. If you are not too exhausted after this you could try the Bajan game of 'road tennis.' Equipment for this is provided, so please ask our resident 'road tennis' pro, Batson, (the gardener) for details.

Finally there is of course a fully equipped kitchen. However you will hopefully not have to venture in to it on many occassions as your rental includes the services 6 days a week of a cook/housekeeper and a maid/laundry maid. They will clean your rooms, make your beds, do your laundry and cook for you. All you have to do is pay for the food, as they will even go and get it for you! Babysitting can also be arranged at an extra cost which is payable locally. 

Spending time at the beach could never be easier. Staying at Ca'Limbo Villa, allows you free access to the Sandy Lane private beach facility, where the friendly beach attendents will happily fetch you the Ca'Limbo sunbeds for you to relax on. You have the option of taking a picnic with you (made up by the cook) or eating at the world famous Sandy Lane Hotel, which is adjacent to the private beach facility. The beach itself is as you would expect, picture perfect. It is only a short walk away (an even shorter drive away) and with its calm, clear waters it is perfect for swimming and snorkelling, with many other water sports available for you to use.

Other amenities which are within a short walk away include golf, tennis courts, shopping and some of the finest restaurants on the island. We would however suggest that you do hire a car, at least for part of your stay. Discovering the East Coast of Barbados is a must. The difference in coastline is staggering and I can guarantee the children will love wave jumping over at Foul Bay, although you must be careful as the sea can be rough and the currents very strong.


Ca’Limbo is the ultimate in luxury and during your stay Betty's (the housekeeper) team of professional and friendly staff will look after your every need and make sure your stay is so special you will not want to leave.

Is it value for money? Our previous guests seem to think so and considering it sleeps 12 people who can divide the cost, it is sometimes cheaper per night than a hostel! 

During your stay you will have your own cook and maid/laundress so there really is no need to do anything yourself! Additional staff can be arranged if you so desire including child care.

The villa comprises 6 bedrooms in total; 4 double, 2 twin and 2 cots, 5 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 12 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 5 bathrooms and 7 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and a fax machine. Recreational activities available with the villa include table tennis.

There is room for 14 in the living room and 14 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this villa.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a patio area, a balcony, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, golf, tennis, scuba diving, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a zoo.

Paragliding, road tennis, gym, jeep tours, snorkelling, playing cricket or watching it.

Wildlife Reserve, Rum Tours, Harrison's Cave, Submarine Trip, Island Safari.
