We are only 40 minutes drive from Ouistreham, the ferry port near Caen and less than 4 hours drive from Calais

The Normandy beaches and museums, Bayeux and the Abbayes and Memorial at Caen are less than 45 minutes away

 

This original 18th century farmhouse has been tastefully extended, renovated, modernised and furnished to a high standard. We have designed and equipped all our reception rooms and the grounds so that, larger groups in particular, will have a range of alternatives for rest and recreation to supplement visits to the many attractions in this area. (From experience we have found that many holiday properties don’t provide suitable space or facilities to give all their visitors options on how they wish to enjoy their holiday time)

The centrally heated detached farmhouse has 3 doubles and 1 twin bedroom, all with plenty of storage space and a well-equipped kitchen with a dining alcove and oak table seating 8 people. Additionally there is a sitting room with an open stone fireplace, a lounge with Satellite TV and DVD player, a reading/music room, a games room with a full size pool table and Play Station 1, a conservatory with dining area, and a utility room with washer, tumble dryer, sink and freezer.
There are 3 bathrooms, one with individual shower and circular bath, another with a shower over the bath and a separate shower room. There are also 2 toilets.

Our farmhouse is surrounded by over 4 acres of mature garden, grassland and paddocks with direct entry to the surrounding forest from an adjoining track and privacy and security is assured by perimeter fencing.

A full range of garden furniture is provided for sunbathing or “al fresco” dining on either of the two patio areas and the gardens are fully lit for sitting out in the evenings.
 

We adjoin a very large forest so the location is ideal for walking and hiking.
We can arrange horse riding packages from the house in conjunction with our neighbour, who has stables and arena and is an authorised instructor and guide.
There will often be horses in our paddocks and there is a large selection to sort all levels of experience.

The local restaurants and markets in the area are excellent and there are recommendations in the house book 

Barns available for bikes etc. Loungers, outside tables and chairs to front and rear. Large grounds ~ 5 acres with mature gardens, paddocks and grassland. Stunning views of surrounding forest. Portable and fixed barbeques. Large conservatory to rear leading on to decking.

The country house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 2 single sofa beds located in the Games room. This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The country house has 3 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The country house has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. Recreational activities available with the country house include a snooker/pool table.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

This is a non-smoking country house

Pets are welcome
Pets ( and responsible pet owners) are welcomed by arrangement, we would ask that they are restricted to the ground floor only and not allowed to sit on soft furnishings. The local area and grounds are ideal for dog owners with numerous superb forest trails to explore. 

Property is suitable for wheelchairs
Whilst the property is not specifically designed for disabled persons there is a separate guest suite on the ground floor with bath room and separate shower cubicle with seat etc. The ground floor is on three levels with 3 steps separating each level, all floors downstairs are stone tiled. 

The country house is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, a north facing patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The country house is right beside fishing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding.

Close to the country house you will find swimming, boat hire, climbing, golf, historic sites, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the country house you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, wind surfing, flying, tennis, a sports center, a museum, a zoo, a themepark.

Adults and children alike enjoyed the pool table and variety of living rooms to use. The owner has provided lots of equipment to use that makes being away from home that bit easier. The house was well presented when we arrived and had a welcome folder with useful information about the house and things to do in the area, as well as places to eat. The house itself is tucked away in a little hamlet but in easy reach of amenties and local attractions (d-day beaches, Mont St Michel, Caen and Suisse Normande area). Would love to come back!"
