Amble Gaard is a traditional Norwegian farm with the oldest building dating from 1690.The farm currently produces ecological apples,hay and forestry with a "fun" sideline of ducks,hens,2 cows,cats and a dog.
It is situated in the village of Kaupanger,which is close to glaciers,the jotunheimen National Park and is a perfect base to explore the spectacular Mountains and Forests of the region.

Neil says: "This house was clean and had a marvelous view. there is plenty of room and it had all the conveniences we needed. The location is excellent for visiting surrounding sights. the hosts are helpful and friendly.
The beauty of the countryside was more than we could have expected.
We had three families and we had more than enough room. The kitchen was great. We used it a lot as there are not a lot of great restaurants around."
