"Skogli" is located 950 metres above sea level in "Sudndalen - Hol", by the mountain area of "Hallingskarvet", and only 200 metres away from the tourist centre by Myrland. Well known tourist attractions like the fjord "Aurlandsfjorden" and the train service "Flåmsbanen" are within short reach. Excellent terrain for hiking and cross-country skiing. The alpine skiing facilities of "Hallingskarvet Skisenter" is located 3,5 km away. Nearby the ski centre you also find indoor swimming facilities at "Hallingskarvet Fjellbad". The cabin has a kitchen with dining table for 6-8 persons. Living room with fireplace and seat arrangement. A sofa can be made into a sofa bed. 3 bedrooms of which one large room with a double bed, one with a family bunk bed (3) and one with a bunk bed (2). Sleeping accommodations for totally 8 persons when the sofa bed in the living room also is in use. Bathroom with heated floors, shower and toilet. Electric dryer for shoes is available.

Set in the heart of southern Norway, against the backdrop of Hallingskarvet, Europe’s largest mountain plateau, is the resort of Geilo. Though the village height may seem a little low compared to many alpine resorts, Geilo enjoys a long and reliable snow season from mid-November through to early May. Christmas in Geilo
Most hotels in this resort are visited by Santa and his reindeer on Christmas Eve. You can arrange for your child to receive a gift when in resort by leaving your gift with the staff at reception. Please note that Christmas is celebrated on the 24th December in Scandinavia (this can affect local services, shops, restaurants etc). Also the ski centre closes early on Christmas Eve. The Skiing in Geilo... Beginners. A wonderful environment for those skiers at the “delicate stage”. Many of the runs are extremely wide and uncrowded, creating the perfect atmosphere to gain confidence. Ski instructors speak excellent English and have been working with beginners for many years to assure professional service at all times. Intermediates There are two skiing areas, the north-facing Vestlia and new Kikut area, and the south-facing main ski area immediately behind the village, which has around 75% of the total skiing. Both areas are linked by a free ski bus in the mornings and afternoons. Many of the runs are wide and uncrowded cruising runs on the huge snow-fields above the tree line, ideal for improving your technique. There is also a variety of runs down to the village through the trees.

The reasons why Geilo stand out from other Norwegian resorts are many, but one of the main reasons is the close proximity between the skiing areas and the towncenter. You can actually walk from the skilifts to the town center still wearing your skiboots!

Geilo is a nice little village, with shops and restaurants and all service facilities in the town center. Geilo is also Norways most traditional skiresort, having been a tourist destination for more than a 100 years. The long history and well organized infrastructure, benefits the guests greatly, and makes Geilo a unique place.

The cabin has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

There is room for 7 in the living room and 7 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find an oven, a fridge. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
