The villa is situated in a fantastic location on Costa de la Luz (the coast of light).

Although only 3Km from the town of Chiclana, it is in a rural setting 200m from wetlands that are designated as a National Reserve. You can take long walks through this area and even do some bird spotting.

7Km from the villa is the famous, miles long, beach of La Barrosa (blue flag) and the sophisticated resort of Novo Sancti Petri which boasts a championship golf course designed by Seve Ballesteros.

All this is only 40 minutes drive from Jerez airport where Ryanair flies in at very reasonable prices. Other nearby airports: Gibraltar (96km), Seville (160km), Malaga (220km).

PLACES TO VISIT:

CADIZ - a port founded over 3000 years ago and the oldest still inhabited city in Europe. From here the Conquistadors overwhelmed much of Latin America and looted gold enriched the town.

JEREZ - it is the home of the famous Royal School of Equestrian Art and the centre of the world's sherry production. It is also known for motor sports (Moto GP and Formula One)

TARIFA - this Moorish walled town, looking like mini Marrakech, hosts world windsurfing championships. From here boats take you whale and dolphin spotting in the Straits of Gibraltar. Depending on the season you can see orcas, sperm and pilot whales and 3 varieties of dolphin.

EL PUERTO DE SANTA MARIA - from here Columbus set sail for the Americas in a vessel named after the town. It is also a local gastronomical gem.

LA DONANA - largest wildlife reserve in Spain (50,000 hectares). 300,000 birds representing 120 species as well as a variety of mammals including lynx, wild boar and otters.

CONIL-apart from great beaches and PADI diving centre you can visit the nearby remains of a Roman town of Baelo Claudia comprising temples, forum and basilica.

MEDINA SIDONIA - the Duke of Medina Sidonia led the Spanish Armada's attack on England. There are spectacular views over the area from its walls. The almond sweets made here are famous all over Spain.

The house has mosquito screens on all windows and doors.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin and 2 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Hello, we had our holiday here in Chiclana at El Abeto. It was a very, very good holiday. We didn't expect such a top house. The pool was absolute fantastic and the right size for our children to play waterball and more. Though the very hot weather, we always slept well in the house.
Everything was fine, but you have to go buy car for everything you need. It was very quiet. A Bar in the near would be fine.
