This is one of 4 apartments situated in their own extensive secure grounds. Apartment No4 is an upstairs apartment of 55 sq mts with a good sized lounge/dining area with open plan kitchen. There are 2 double bedrooms and one bathroom. The lounge opens onto a good sized terrace at the front looking towards the woods and beach.
The extensive grounds consist of fig, orange and mulberry trees. There is a substantial picnic area with tables and a large outside BBQ area. There is also a large 5-a-side football area.
You will find a washing machine in the outhouse and also an area to dry washing between the trees.
The apartment is a short walk to a secluded beach and also Roccella Marina. The Marina has a very good Pizzaria/Restaurant to while away the time looking at the boats.
The town of Roccella is a few minutes drive away down the Lungomare. You can also walk the Lungomare all the way to Roccella and during the summer months you will find several Restaurants and Bars situated on the beach along the Lungomare.
Amongst the back streets of Roccella you can explore the "Borgo" or historic centre which is well worth discovering.
The nearest supermarket is on the main road into Roccella. Take the track to the port and then take the next right turn towards the railway crossing. Turn left to Roccella and you will see the CONAD supermarket on the right, just before entering Roccella town.
 

If you are looking to discover the area then Roccella is strategically based to discover other important towns on the Ionian coast. If you have a car then within easy driving distance you are able to visit, Caulonia Superiore, Marina di Caulonia, Gioiosa Superiore and Marina di Gioiosa.

Further afield, the small, beautiful town of Stilo is just a short drive from Roccella. The Cattolica, an exquisite, well preserved small Byzantine shrine, overlooks the town. Its plan is square with an inscribed cross surmounted by five cupolas on circular drums. It resembles churches to be found in Anatolia, Georgia and Armenia and also the church of San Marco at nearby Rosano

The town of Gerace is approximately a 30 minute drive from Roccella and has impressive cobblestone streets in addition to a 17th century church.

The beautiful town of Tropea is just a one hour drive and boasts emerald green water, fine sandy beaches and cliffy bays. Majestically situated above the sea, this history-charged town, which – according to legend – was founded by the ancient hero Hercules, you will find over 50 noblemen’s palaces and 17 churches. The towns on the cape are rich in history, legend, tradition and folklore.

If you do not have a car then you can easily discover the area by taking the train or bus. You will find timetables for the bus at the Railway station stop and those for the train inside the Railway station.
