The Forest of Aulnay, a short walk from the cottage, is teeming with wildlife and is ideal for family picnics, or intrepid adventures.

Follow the Boutonne valley with its Romanesque art treasures, vineyards and the loveliest Chateau in the region at Dampierre, just 15 minutes away.

Golf. There are seventeen courses in the Poitou Charentes.

Fishing. Trout, specimen carp, pike or just some entertainment for the kids.

Beaches and Watersports. A selection of beautiful beaches stretch along the Atlantic coast.
Also, an assortment of recreational lakes within a few miles of the cottage for swimming, boating, canoeing and fishing.

 

The nearby towns of Nere and Aulnay are both around ten minutes away and offer a selection of small shops, supermarket, weekly market, bars and restaurants, plus English speaking Doctor and Dentist.

Larger supermarhets and facilities are available in St Jean d'Angely 20 minutes away.

 

The bedroom is equipped with twin, electronically adjustable beds. The lounge is also equipped with a sofa-bed to sleep 2 and a separate z-bed is available if required. Cot and push chair available if required. Cot linen not provided. We provide all other bed-linen, duvets and pillows, plus a set of bathroom towels for each guest. Please bring your own beach and sun-lounger towels. We have two shower rooms, one en-suite and one outside. The outside shower room is only supplied with cold water at this time.

The cottage comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the Lounge, plus an extra single is available. This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The cottage has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cottage is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cottage is right beside swimming, walking, cycling.

Close to the cottage you will find fishing, historic sites, a zoo, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find a beach, sailing, boat hire, wind surfing, golf, a sports center, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.

Forest walks or cycling from the front door. Karting, kayaks and canoes available 25 minutes away.
