Located on a ridge at the southern edge of the village of Farellones, with panoramic views on three sides, Casa Farellones is five minutes walk from the ski lifts at Farellones (you can ski back) and five minutes drive from the ski base at La Parva or El Colorado (you can ski all the way back from here too). Valle Nevado (the third linked valley / resort in the area) is a 15 minute drive but can be accessed easily on skis from either El Colorado or La Parva ski areas.

Skiing and boarding are the main winter activities. There is ample lift serviced terrain in the 3 resorts, but if you feel the need to venture further, Helli ski services are available from La Parva and Valle Nevado. In summer mountain walking climbing or horse riding are available. We'll be happy to provide further details and make the necessary arrangements.

Unlike the ski base villages at La Parva and El Colorado, which empty out in the summer months, Farellones has many year round residents and the generally green and tree filled gardens make it a pleasure to visit in the summer months.
 

Casa Farellones is a four storey private chalet with total built area of approximately 690 square meters set in the village of Farellones, commanding panoramic and unobstructed views to the West and South.
The owners, normally resident in Thailand, use the upper two floors primarily during the ski season. The middle floor, which can be closed off from the main house as a self contained apartment, is available for rent at most times of the year.

The Middle Apartment can optionally be combined (by direct internal staircase) with the 4 Bedroom (sleeps 8) Lower Apartment on the floor below. If you have a group of over 10 + pax, please ask about this option.

Ideal car for mountains and skiing - equipped with rack for 8 skis (or 4 snow boards and 4 skis) and snow chains (though with the 4WD these are rarely required). Big enough for 5 passengers and luggage in comfort.

Casa Farellones prides itself on our friendly and attentive staff (a Chilean couple who have lived in the village for many years) who ensure your stay with us is a comfortable and enjoyable one.

Staff and Services

Maid service is provided daily. The maid provides full housekeeping services and can assist in preparation of meals. The staff can also arrange grocery shopping (from Santiago) one or twice a week as required.

The private Pool is in fact a an 8 person open air heated Sundance Spa jacuzzi on the balcony. ....... Set on sloping ground on the south west fringes of the village at an elevation of 2,400 meters (7,800 feet) Casa Farellones has unobstruceed views from it's many picture windows over the empty expanse of the snow covered Andes to the south, and the city of Santiago to the west. Santiago's invserion layer (some thousand meters below Farellones) creates spectacular sunsets most evenings - and a vistas of glistening city lights far below on clear nights. To the south and east are views through the village to the ski areas of Colorado and La Parva.

The ski chalet comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin, 1 single, 4 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 7 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The ski chalet has 4 bathrooms for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The ski chalet has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls and a fax machine.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The ski chalet is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a west facing balcony, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The ski chalet is right beside walking, mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding.

Close to the ski chalet you will find climbing, horse riding, tennis, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the ski chalet you will find shopping areas.

William says: "Hands down this is the best play to stay if you're going to be skiing/snowboarding in the Tres Valles area. I stayed here with a few friends . William was terrific about sharing information and explaining to us all that we needed to know about the area. This chalet has everything you need and more, we were even able to have groceries delivered to us. Also the housekeeper is such a sweetheart, she took great care of us and even prepared homecooked Chilean food. If you are not sure where to stay, look no further - because this is the place. It has a great kitchen, heated towel racks in the bathrooms, bathrooms in each room. Every bedroom has views of the beautiful mountains. I also forgot to mention that the views from the hot tub are probably some of the best in all of Chile, being able to see down to the city of Santiago at night from the deck (where the hot tub is located) is amazing. When I stayed at this chalet, I felt like I was living like "The Rich & Famous" - it just had everything that we needed and desired in a ski-chalet. It's also only a 5 minute drive to Parva - and from there you can get to Valle Nevado with an Inerconnect lift ticket. I think this Chalet is the best kept secret in Chile."
