This exceptionally spacious characterful town villa is great value for money. It truely gives you the opportunity to experience a real Andalucian white village, with peace, quiet and fabulous views to the sea over the olive and avocado groves. You are only 25 minutes drive from the beaches and shopping complexes on the coast.

Located in a quiet area, it has a large 65metre square roof terrace and splash pool. It is only five minutes walk from the local swimming pool, restaurants and shops. Indeed the newly completed town pool is one of the best on the Costa del Sol. Situated at the edge of the village overlooking the Mediterranean sea it is both heated and has a retractable roof for use throughout the year.

The house has been sympathetically restored over the last few years to give you a modern but characterful holiday home. From the large (45 square metre) sun terrace, your views over the village, mountains, church tower and Mediterranean sea are superb. Situated to benefit from the rising sun in the morning right through to the setting sun in the evening many guests have said the roof terrace is the "jewel in the crown." A great place for alfresco dining day and night.


You do not need a car for this property as you can travel from the airport to the village by taxi. All facilities are provided locally.

There is a large open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge, situated on the floor below the roof terrace with airy 4 metre+ ceilings. You will find this extremely convenient for food preparation and al fresco eating on the roof. With a gas BBQ, kitchen sink, dining tables and 10 chairs, eating on the roof during the day and night is a great experience. Whilst it can get really hot, we have provided a large cane pergola, hexagonal awning and large sun umbrella to provide you with the necessary shade. Large wooden swing seat, four sun loungers, and splash pool complete your relaxation experience.

If you and your family want to swim we have the new village pool and the local, Hotel Balcon, outdoor double pool/bar area just a short stroll away. Entrance to this is by a 5 Euro day pass (approx), which gives you multiple entry, towel and sun lounger. Lots of other English speaking children visit both these swimming pools, and holiday friends are easily made.

There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms in the property.

The roof terrace is the house's jewel in the crown. Views down to the Mediterranean, the Almijara mountains and over the white village of Competa. A sunbathing paradise. In conjunction with a decent sized splash pool, you will tan and tan! Remember we do not provide large towels.. you will need them for showering and swimming. All bathrooms have hand towels etc.

The house comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 4 double, 1 single and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 9 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The house has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use.

The house has television video, dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The house is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing patio area, a balcony, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque, a tennis court. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The house is right beside swimming, walking, mountain biking, tennis, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the house you will find climbing, horse riding.

Within easy reach of the house you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, golf, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, a themepark.

jacky says: "a very good house for a group. very well equiped, some things were a bit tired and we had to be carefull with them. competa is a very friendly place but the trip up the mountain (25 mins) was terrible for me as i found out i suffered from car sickness. but please dont let that put you off we had a really good time. "

Owner reply:
Yes, we have replaced two tired sun loungers on the roof terrace. We have found the intense sunlight here can make them brittle. In fact, we had previously installed eight new chairs and a large table on the roof with a modern rattan fibre which is sun resistant. Isn't it nice to have a problem caused by too much sun!!

We have never had any other adverse reports on the road up, though it does depend on one's driving style!
