Guadamar and La Marina BEACHES are 12 drive ,The beaches has soft white sand and is backed by a pine forest offering plenty of shade. It has several beach bars open during the summer and there are restaurants, where you can dine .overlooking the Mediterranean and the isle of Tabarca, said to be frequented by pirates in ancient times! SUNBEDS are available for hire and CAR PARKING is FREE. Costa Blanca beaches have a good record, with over 30 of them having been awarded EU 2 BLUE FLAG standards for cleanliness, safety and amenities........................................... ..........................................Apart from the natural beaches there are stunning walks and scenery all along the coastline particularly Santa Pola Salt lakes where you see the pink flamingoes and Guardarmar where you can walk from town through the planted sand dunes down to the marina.LA MARINA
La Marina is a coastal village on the Southern Costa Blanca. The area is known for its fine blue flag beaches with powder fine white sands and shallow crystal clear waters. There are several restaurants and bars on the beach, but they are otherwise undeveloped and unspoilt. The beaches are easily accessed from the village and are patrolled by lifeguards in the summer.
The towns of Elche, Santa Pola and Guardamar del Segura are all close by. Elche is famed for its palm groves, for the Misteri dElx and for being the site of the discovery of the ancient bust know as the Dama dElx. Elche has been declared a world heritage site. Gaurdamar and Santa Pola are thriving coastal towns with lively street markets (Wednesday in Gaurdamar and Saturday in Santa Pola), as well as many restaurants, shops, cafes and fine beaches.
Alicante and Torrevieja are only a short drive away. Alicante offers good restaruants and sight seeing. Torrevieja has got to offer also sandy beaches, a prom, market,shops.

Binta says: "We absolutely loved the property. Trevor and Dave patiently waited for us to arrive on day 1 which we did close to midnite! apartment very clean and they had wine and breakfast stuff in place for us which waas really thoughtful.
Only issue i had was the lack of airconditioner- keeping doors and sutters secure at night made fans ineffective and apartment extremely hot. We also found the mattresses too firm but down to personal choice i suppose.
Upstairs pool was fantastic and kids loved it.
Location was ok, 30 minutes from alicante although a bit quiet as it was on the fringe of dolores but close enough to amenities not to be an issue. would advise car rental-works out cheaper as taxi from alicante costs 50 euros one way. Also beach not easy to get to without transport. Didnt see nay local buses throughout our stay.
Will certainly go back when weather slightly cooler or can rent airconditioning. "
