Villa Mimosa is a new, fully air-conditioned detached luxury villa, completed in January 2006. It is located in Orba, in the Marina Alta region of the Northern Costa Blanca, in Spain. It's only about 20 minutes drive to great golf and the beaches at Javea, Denia, Moraira, and half an hour to Calpe.


Outside, the villa has a covered shaded terrace ("naya") at ground floor level, with direct access from both the kitchen and the living room / dining area. An exterior dining table and six chairs are provided here. This area is perfect for dining outdoors, and lounging in the shade with a cool beer.

Down a few wide steps (tiled with beautiful Spanish terracotta) you will find our private 8 metre by 4 metre kidney-shaped swimming pool - with internal tiled steps - and a further tiled terrace / patio area equipped with sun-loungers. The pool has a shallow end of about 0.9 metres, and a deep end of about 1.8 metres. The exterior pool edging is non-slip.

The villa is situated amongst other similar properties on a small urbanisation overlooking the beautiful Orba Valley, in the Marina Alta region of the Costa Blanca.

The villa offers wonderful views of orange and lemon groves, almond plantations, ancient olive groves and the nearby mountains, and you can enjoy superb sunsets over the valley. Orba is a really pretty Spanish village (or small town) in the north of the Costa Blanca offering a great range of local facilities, and is an ideal base from which to explore the area.

Orba is located about 10 miles inland from the Mediterranean coastal towns of Javea and Denia. It has an altitude of about 160m above sea level and is home to about 1600 people. Picturesque mountains form a backdrop and there are wide, uninterrupted, magnificent views from most villa properties - including from Villa Mimosa. Orba is situated at the head of a large fertile valley that grows mainly citrus fruit of a quality that is the best in the world.

The Orba Valley is a haven of tranquillity, where citrus trees nestle alongside almond plantations, giving a beautiful scent to complement the stunning scenery of rolling hills down to the sea. Orba is relatively unaffected by tourism and retains its Spanish identity.

Orba village and the surrounding whitewashed villages have retained their traditional Spanish feel, with weekly markets and plenty of bars restaurants, shops and other amenities to choose from. Yet despite this, or perhaps because of it, a significant number of English, Dutch, German and Swiss have made Orba their home town and many have integrated well with the friendly local people.

 

Upstairs, the air-conditioned master bedroom suite has a king-size double, with ensuite bathroom and dressing room with large built-in wardrobes. This room enjoys the use of a private 180 degree panoramic balcony, a fantastic spot for al-fresco breakfasts!

There are also two good size air conditioned twin rooms, each equipped with built in wardrobes. These two rooms share an adjacent full shower room. Coming down the marble staircase, you will find a large L-shaped air conditioned living room with dining area, a sizable luxury kitchen and a downstairs cloakroom with WC and hand wash-basin.

The villa is very well equipped with high quality furnishings, including a large Widescreen 32" TV with full Satellite TV service - (all Canal Digital+ packages - Sport, Music, Film, Kids, local interest, history, news etc etc), a DVD player and a small selection of DVDs, a superb kitchen with a big Bosch freezer / fridge, a Bosch dishwasher, Bosch washing machine and a combination microwave / grill. There is a four-ring electric hob with halogen elements, an electric oven with grill, and a stainless steel extractor hood with lighting. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you are likely to require.

 

Wonderful views across the valley and mountains

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private west facing swimming pool, a west facing garden, a west facing patio area, a west facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming.

Close to the villa you will find fishing, climbing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, historic sites, a zoo, shopping areas, a restaurant.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, flying, scuba diving, a museum, a theatre/cinema, a themepark, a food shop.
