This beautiful villa is situated just five minutes from the natural park of Sierra Tejeda and 20 minutes to the coastal resort of Torre del mar ideal for nature lovers, or those who wish for a quiet and peaceful location. The property is detached and set in its own grounds, with gated access. Set over two floors. The upper floor, with its majestic views across the valley and towards the mountains has a well equipped kitchen, lounge/diner, bathroom and double bedroom. Downstairs and leading out to the pool area are a further 2 double bedrooms and two bathrooms providing ample space for large families (no queuing for the bathroom). Within easy driving distance you have many restaurants and the Axarquia valley boasts over 40 white-washed villages for you to explore.
 

All bedrooms and the lounge are fully air-conditioned, hot/cold. The spacious kitchen, leading from the lounge has modern units with a granite work top. Stainless steel accessories compliment the beautiful design, including oven, hob, microwave oven and washing machine. The lounge has SKY TV and a DVD player and is furnished with cream leather sofas and a modern dinning table. The outside space is large and comfortable, with a lovely patio and barbeque, which offers welcome shade in the summer months. From here you can sit on the comfortable outside furniture and enjoy the views to the pool. Or sunbathe on the lovely patio around the pool. 

The lands of Alcaucín extend over the north of the Axarquia, between the amazing mass of the Tejeda Sierra, and the Periana corridor, between the spectacular gorge of the Boquete de Zafarraya and the Axarquia hills. As soon as we enter the town we can see the clear Morisco influence, with low houses, whitewashed facades and above all, the narrow, winding streets. The town, surrounded by pine trees which descend the sides of Tejeda up to its highest side, looks out onto a landscape of olive grove covered hills, vines and small orchards which extend to the end of the valley by Venta Baja, the Puente de Don Manuel and Zalía. The most direct road to the town is by the main road to Vélez. From this road we turn off onto the la Viñuela road and continue on until we reach Puente Don Manuel, an important cross-roads in the Axarquía, where we find the road that brings us directly to Alcaucín. In Puente de Don Manuel you will find restaurants bars and a small ‘corner shop’. Just up the road is the famous Arkwrights British store (open all hours), which sells EVERYTHING. There is a fabulous butcher and bakers and there are additional restaurants, both Spanish and European. Around the lake there are some fantastic restaurants (including the Indian tented restaurant, 10 minutes away). On the lake there is a fantastic deli, where you can try the wines, cheeses and chorizos before you buy. Just 10 minutes away is the Arab town of Velez, with its old stone walls and the fabulous indoor food market. The Axarquia valley boasts 40 white-washed villages for you to explore, all with their own traditions and festivals. Here you can enjoy the Real Spain.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
