This is a brand-new fully furnished and well-equipped house with spectacular views on the exclusive development of Fuentes de Almunecar. The house is part of a block of 4 houses and is set out on 2 floors with unrestricted views from the lounge, master bedroom and sun terrace.

The house is very spacious and is set on 2 floors -

Top floor : 2 x twin bedrooms both with wardrobes, drawers and bedside cabinets; 1 master bedroom with king-sized bed, fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets; en-suite bathroom with shower, bath and bidet. Separate bathroom with shower and toilet.

Lower floor : Open plan lounge/dining room with patio doors leading onto the large terrace. 1 ceiling fan, sofas, storage cabinets, tv unit, dining table, 6 chairs.
Kitchen fully equipped with granite worktops, oven, ceramic hob, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher and all utensils.
A separate utility room houses the washing machine and boiler and provides an extra toilet.
The large sun terrace is perfect for al fresco dining and has table, chairs, parasol and barbeque.

The house which is set at the highest part of the town offers magnificent views of the coast and surrounding mountainside.


 

Fuentes is set in lovely surroundings and has 2 magnificent swimming pools, one of which is panoramic and overflowing to give the effect of flowing into the sea. The grounds are landscaped with trees, streams, fountains and waterfalls.

Fuentes de Almunecar is protected by security guards for your own peace of mind.

Situated just 5 mins drive from the sea and the nearby coastal resort of Almunecar, Fuentes nestles between the sea and the impressive mountains of the Sierra Nevada. It is situated above the historical town of Almunecar, which is a typically Spanish town complete with Moorish castle and old district.

The delightful cove of Tesorillo, the nearest beach is only 15 minutes walk away. It is downhill all the way - therefore uphill all the way back!

There are over 25 local beaches in the Almunecar and La Herradura area.

To get the most out of this holiday, the surrounding area and the many interesting places to visit, a car would be an advantage.

 

Almunecar itself is an historical Spanish town with a handsome Moorish castle. The most attractive part of Almunecar is the old pueblo which is mostly inaccessible by car. Simply wander around its streets filled with boutiques and tapas bars and take in the maze of narrow passageways.

Those who appreciate the heritage of Spain will love ancient Granada and its world famous Alhambra.

Other places of interest include La Herradura with its beautiful horse-shoe bay, Salobrena complete with moorish castle built on an outcrop of rock, Nerja the popular beach resort and the Alpujarras (excellent for hiking and trekking).

On the west of Almunecar is the Punta de la Mona, a pineclad headland sheltering the attractive Marina del Este a water sports base. Also just over an hour away is ski-ing in the Sierra Nevada at Solynieve.

The beautiful resorts of Salobrena, La Herradura and Nerja nearby together with the Sierra Nevada mountain range, make this part of Andalucia very attractive.


Winter or Summer
The weather on the Costa Tropical has a sub-tropical climate (hence its name) which ensures that, even in Winter the temperature rarely drops below 10C. On average it rains only 20 days a year so it is an ideal destination during the winter months.

 

Solar power provides plenty of hot water topped up by the boiler. Air conditioning keeps the house cool in summer and warm during the winter months. All beds are made up ready for arrival and a welcome pack will be awaiting you. Small children should be supervised at all times on the terrace. A cot and high chair are available to rent for a small additional charge. Parking - There are plenty of parking bays just outside the house for parking. No pets please. Short breaks of 3-6 nights are available in the low season (please enquire).

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a east facing patio area, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, tennis, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find boat hire, fishing, cycling, golf, scuba diving.

Walking in the natural park at Pena Escrita, hang-gliding in Almunecar. Ski-ing is 90 mins away.

Water park, Bird park, Nerja caves, Frigiliana white village, Salobrena ,Las Alpujarras mountains.

Jane says: "The only thing that we were VERY VERY dissapointed with, was the fact that the Infinity pool was closed on the Sunday, which meant that we were only able to use it the day we arrived Thursday(11th sept), Frid and Sat. The main reason for booking was the use of the infinity pool!!!!!! We feel that we should have been told. Also the fact that it does not open untill 12 oclock. The main advertising for the development is the infinity pool. I beleive the pool was going to be open from then onwards weekends only BUT that was no help to us. OK the other pool was open but that was up LOTS of steps and as I said before it was the infinity that we wanted to use. Sorry this is so late."

Owner reply:
We are sorry the pool was closed for you - we are trying to get it open for longer - but I am afraid this is out of our control. The reason is the cost of having a lifeguard present (as is the law in Spain for a pool this size). The top pool is open all year round. Regards Jo.
