La Mamola is still a little village in the real Spanish style. Village populations is about 800 people, there are 2 supermarkets, 2 Fishmongers, 4 bars and restaurants (8 over season time), Chemist, Post office, Bank, 2-3 small gift shops, bakery and a doctors surgery and a lot of very nice people in the Village. 
The Small House is situated up a Mountain above the village of La Mamola. The house has stunning Sea & Mountain Views.
The motorway from Barcelona to Portugal has a gap in this area at the moment. The motorway stops just after a place called Adra if you are coming from Almeria Airport and just after Nerja if you are coming from Malaga Airport. Although not motorway the road is very good, its the N340 and runs right along the bottom of the mountain so it is not difficult to spot the house from the Coastal Road. 

There is a small/steep concrete road that leads up to the access area then its a walk up to the house. There is a concrete parking space just left of the access gate. Then its a short walk up to the house. The resort of La Mamola sits a minute down the mountain. I walk down the mountain to the village quite often, but let me warn you, its a steep climb up and even though I am more used to it, I still stop half way to admire the views (actually to catch my breath). It is well worth it though just to escape from it all. A car is essential. Cars must be hired at the airports as there are no taxis or hire companies near the village. 

This is an agricultural area, with greenhouses and fields supplying vegetables and fruit for the supermarkets of Europe and sheep and goats grazing the hills. The best selling novels 'Driving over Lemons' and 'A Parrot in the Pepper Tree' by Chris Stewart are set only a few miles away.
In addition to the drives through the local countryside and the other beaches of the Costa Tropical, the location is ideal for anyone looking for peace and quiet. Just an hour away you can enjoy skiing & snowboarding in the Sierra Nevada. You can also drive up through all the beautiful mountain villages. The house is close to the main E15/N340 coastal road so its perfect for visiting all the resorts of the Costa Tropical, Costa Almeria & Costa Del Sol.

The cottage comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 single. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The cottage has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this cottage.

Pets are not welcome

The cottage is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a south facing patio area, sea views, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cottage is right beside walking.

Close to the cottage you will find a beach, swimming, fishing, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find shopping areas.
