This 28 X 10 2 bedroom mobile home is on a friendly predominately English open all year site high in the Alpujarra Mountains in Pitres on the south side of the Sierra Nevada National Park in Spain, the mobile home is 3 years old and has every thing you could ever need to have a fantastic holiday, including A/C, full English Sky TV, DVD, Full automatic washing machine, full oven, large terrace, own garden, private parking space. The large terrace has neon lighting setting that relaxing atmosphere where you can dine alfresco on the plancher ( electric hot plate ) and watch the sunset with a local glass of wine...

 

The site has a large friendly family bar and restaurant, fantastic swimming pool open in the high season, and is only a 10 minute walk to the village. and an ideal base to explore the area. 

Pitres has everything you could possibly need including many bars, a butchers, bakers, supermarket, chemist, health centre, and a great Friday market selling the local produce..

Las Alpujarras has its own unique weather system. Whereas on the coast the temperatures are fairly constant all year round, the combination of mountain air and valleys in Las Alpujarras make the weather more changeable.

Summers are often hot and dry, with temperatures up to the 36Cs. Rain and cloud is rare, but can occur in the higher mountains, however it never lasts long. Winters are still quite warm and relatively sunny during the day, but can be a very cold at night after the sun has gone down. If visiting during October to May, it is recommended you bring jumpers and jeans. Both seasons have their advantages - a day in the pool in the summer, and an evening in-front of the fire in the winter.

The best time for walking in Las Alpujarras is from April to mid-June, and from mid-September to mid-November.

Above the main village of PITRES the landscape is dominated by oaks and sweet chestnuts, cherry and walnut trees. In the valley below, a Mediterranean climate permits the cultivation of figs, almonds and olives in traditional groves.The smallest and highest (1400m) of the seven villages is CAPILERILLA, almost untouched by the passage of time.. From here the magnificent view of the mountains takes in even the distant peaks of northern Morocco.
The other villages are scattered across the steep hillside between Pitres and the Rio Trevelez valley. Nearest to the dramatic river canyon are FERREIROLA, famous for its fizzy mineral water spring and FONDALES. Along with ATALBEITAR, MECINA and MECINILLA, situated a little higher up the hill, these villages enjoy a mild climate and are wonderfully peaceful.

The lodge comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin. . This gives room for up to 2 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The lodge has 1 bathrooms for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the lodge cool.

The lodge has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The lodge is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, panoramic views, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The lodge is right beside swimming, walking, a restaurant.

Close to the lodge you will find fishing, climbing, cycling, historic sites, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the lodge you will find mountain biking, horse riding, golf, a museum, shopping areas.
