Welcome to Avlon House
Avlon House was built in 2007 and is a Town House of charm and Character on one of Carlow's most attractive streets. Avlon House offers visitors a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the Town, yet it is only a few minutes stroll from the heart of this Market town that is our county capital
The house was sensitively constructed & decorated to include modern creature comforts, offering a charm and elegance of the modern era. Bedrooms are decorated with traditional furnishings. The spacious and elegant en-suite bedrooms have direct dial telephones, hair dryers, trouser press, Tea coffee facilities broadband access and multi channel televisions. Toiletries, Mineral water, ECT are supplied with our compliments.
You are assured of a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the warm and cosy guest lounge where an open fire awaits you whether you’re browsing through the books or catching up with your favorite soap on TV.
Guests awaken to the smell of freshly cooked local foods. Breakfast served in our well appointed dining room is leisurely and relaxed between 7-10 each morning, and a lively chat is assured. A full breakfast menu is provided which changes with the season, and always includes vegetarian dishes.
Carlow is a golfer's paradise - regardless of your skills or ability, you will find an impressive variety of golfing facilities to suit all levels. The novice is also well catered for with driving ranges, pitch & putt and par 3's. All of the courses listed here aim to provide the golfer – whether beginner or advanced - with an unforgettable experience and a warm, friendly welcome. For non-golfing partners and families, there is a treasure trove of places to visit and things to do, which are listed elsewhere in this guide.
Restaurants and bars are within an easy walking distance and we are an ideal base for exploring the city and south east of the country. It is important to us that you enjoy your stay and if you have any particular needs let us know. Not all our rooms are suitable for young children, so it is best to let us know well in advance. As a small property Avlon House Bed and Breakfast is unable to cater for hen or stag parties, please do not book these as refusal on the day can cause inconvenience for you and your guests.
