The Lodges are the first of their kind and as soon as you arrive you will notice how they blend into the woods and sit in complete harmony with their surroundings, which includes the 1,500 acre Earl of Clanricarde estate. 

Perhaps more than anything, it’s the quality of accommodation, which sets The Lodges apart. Each lodge offers the following
facilities:
- A beautiful, large open plan living/dining room with natural light, opening onto a private wooden deck outside.
- Each lodge comprises 5 bedrooms, (1 double ensuite, 2 twins and 2 doubles ) with two additional beautifully fitted bathrooms.
- The open plan, fully fitted kitchen features an oven/hob, microwave, fridge and all necessary kitchen utensils and
crockery.
- Washer/dryer, hairdryers, storage room, Satellite T.V., bed linen and towels are also provided.

- The rates quoted are for a group of 6 people occupying the lodge. There is an additional charge for more than 6 people staying in the lodge - the extra charge will be advised at the time of sending through the booking enquiry.

The Castlegates Restaurant is beautifully appointed for either a leisurely breakfast or a sumptuous evening meal.

The Idle Hour Pub well known for its “Craic” is one of the most popular in the area. Regular live entertainment together with a fantastic selection of pub food is on offer.

The Upper Deck Bistro is casual & relaxed with a great wine list and exciting food. 

** Please note MINIMUM STAY 7 NIGHTS for July and August. ** Electricity for heating, lighting and fuel is an extra charge and is payable on departure. Both are based on individual meter readings. ** Cots & highchairs must be pre-booked and cot linen is not supplied. ** Linen & towels are provided in your Lodge however it is always advisable to bring extra towels along for use at the pool etc… ** A security deposit of €100.00 must be given to our local agent on arrival. This will be returned to you provided the supervisor is satisfied that the terms and conditions of the rental have been complied with. Costs of repairs to property as a result of damage or negligence will be deducted from the security deposit, with an additional charge where this is insufficient.

The lodge comprises 5 bedrooms in total; 3 double, 2 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 10 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The lodge has 3 bathrooms and 3 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The lodge has television satellite/cable.

There is room for 10 in the living room and 10 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this lodge.

The lodge is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has access to a shared swimming pool, a patio area, a tennis court. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The lodge is right beside swimming, walking, cycling, tennis, a sports center, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the lodge you will find fishing, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.

Within easy reach of the lodge you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, scuba diving.

margaret says: "absolutely fabulous. we were a party of 9, including 2 children; and thought this was really good value for money. Accomodation was very spacious, well kept and clean and spacious. if I had any critisism at all, it would be that one of the bedrooms did not have any storage space. ( i.e. no wardrobe space) but would suit child. The facilities in the Hotel were really good, and we all enjoyed the facilities pf the hotel.. gym. swimming pool. sauna,steamn, jaccuzi, bars, restaurants. My grand daughter joined in the childrens activies club in the hotel and was the highlight of her holiday. Outside the hotel, just yards away, there were lots of facilities, pubs, eating places, restaurants, shops, banks, gp/dentist; take away deliveries and more...would definitely come back thank you"
