Is a romantic country cottage for two in a quite, rural setting only 15 minutes from Kilkenny City. The 150 year old, stone cut cottage has been exquisitely restored and includes all the modern comforts.
 

Just 15 minutes from Kilkenny City, The Cottage is ideal for a secluded getaway or as a base for exploring the South East, especially Kilkenny City, Clonmel, Cashil and Waterford. Breathtaking scenery is also on the doorstep with Slievenamon and the Slieveardagh hills near by. 

World-class golf is only 15 minutes away at Mount Juliet as well as several other parkland courses.

Fishing, horseback riding, shopping or just relaxing whatever your pleasure The Cottage at Modeshill is the place to stay.
 

The Cottage is a 150 year-old restored traditional Irish cottage. Rural lanes to walk just outside the door. Local pubs and shops 3 miles away. Electricity is metered and paid by guests at the end of their stay. Typical costs are approximately £25 per week in summer months and £35 per week in winter.

The cottage comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The cottage has television. The music system will play radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cottage is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a south facing garden. If you are driving there is private parking.

The cottage is right beside walking, cycling.

Close to the cottage you will find fishing, horse riding, golf, historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find climbing, mountain biking.

The Rock of Cashel, Mitchelstown Cave, Cahir Castle and may more historic sites are all near by.

Irish and Religious historic sites near by.

Elton says: "I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. It is down this small road just far enough to be away from traffic and noise yet close enough to Kilkenny to take a short trip in. I had a plan while i was there to propose to my girlfriend by planting a tree where i popped the question to commemorate the occasion. I could not find anywhere to do this in Ireland. I talked to the owners of the villa and they said i could do it in their back yard! They even got the tree set up for me while we were away. They were courteous and the place was clean and well taken care of. There is an old church just a walk down from the property and plenty of fresh air and privacy. We were treated like family and they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Thanks guys! Anyone who is looking for a nice quiet "base camp" to call home while traveling in Ireland should stay here, its the decision we made. "
