On the peaceful grounds surrounding historic Croan House, is a little cluster of five charming, traditional style modern cottages. The cottages are set around a courtyard and approached by a drive of lime trees. Adjacent to the property is a Forest Park with a number of trails and walks. 

Very comfortably furnished, the cottages enjoy a delightfully relaxing ambience, enhanced by grazing goats, hens, rare breed pigs and geese in the grounds. The cottages contain all mod cons and have a private patio and barbeque area and an open fire for cosy evenings in.  

The local area is rich in places of interest such as picturesque small villages, abbeys and a craft trail of fascinating workshops including glass blowing, pottery and leather goods. Waterford, with its developing port and famous glass factory and visitor centre, is 20 miles, whilst the medieval town of Kilkenny's ancient castle, cathedral, Black Abbey (and over 70 pubs) are 15 miles. This wonderful walking country also offers cruises and fishing on a network of fine rivers and canals once worked by barges, as well as superb golf (Mount Juliet 7 miles) and riding. Dublin is 1½ hours by car or train, Rosslare ferryport is 58 miles, Waterford Airport 25 miles.  

Stunning views past the animal paddocks to the Blackstairs mountains and the Comeragh hills. The cottages are on the grounds of a working small holding with a variety of animals. Fresh farm produce is available in season.

The cottage comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The cottage has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 7 in the living room and 7 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cottage is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, a summer house, a south facing patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cottage is right beside walking, cycling, mountain biking, historic sites.

Close to the cottage you will find swimming, fishing, horse riding, golf, tennis, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find a beach, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, a sports center, a themepark.

We had no trouble finding the place (besides the trouble of driving in the "wrong" side of the road"!), and the cottage was ready for us at arrival.
