Peristerona is a picturesque hillside village, with a small grocery store, coffee shop and a church with the Byzantine Museum of Arsinoe, which can be reached within just a couple of minutes drive. The town of Polis , huddled around a pedestrians square with a wide selection of restaurants, tavernas and cafes, is approximately a 10 minute drive away. Paphos town is approximately a 50 minute drive away.

Peristerona village is a beautiful small village, located in a semi-mountainous region on the base of the Troodos mountains and at about 300m above the sea level. It is about 8 km south of Polis Town and is easily accessible nowadays. The village has beautiful views to the sea[Chrysochous Bay] and Polis&Akamas area. Also the nearby [2km] Evretou Dam can be seen from some Peristerona locations.


Peristerona derives its name from the word peristeri –meaning pigeon. Years ago there were thousands of pigeons living in the nearby spectacular "gorge of the eagles" which can be visited today for excellent photography.
The local economy is primarily agricultural and there are many small farm holdings still apparent.

Peristerona is always a very green village due to the lush vegetation, and like most of the Polis area, is spectacular in the winter and spring months, and ideal for artists and photographers and people who like hiking.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
