This is a nice one bedroom apartment and the owners are an elderly couple who returned to Croatia in their retirement and are quiet friendly and if you are nice they will have you to dinner one day. My mother also likes to bake and if you are good then perhaps she will offer you some traditional cakes. She is also an avid gardener and has her own vegetable garden in the village and will bring you fresh produce if you ask her for a freshly picked tomato or two. 

Diklo is considered the elite area of Zadar. It is a village dating back to the 10th century. If you are looking for an old stone village on the seaside of the Adriatic this is it. The sunsets are wonderful, with the sun setting between the islands and the mainland, directly on the water in summer. You can take a couple of glass of wine and sit at the marina in front or watch the sunset from the terrace bench. There are restaurants in the village and a cafe and a shop and newstand. There is also a sports ground and a tennis court. Close by the Falkensteiner group of hotels in Borik that offer everything a tourist might want to enjoy...saunas, massage, pool, bars, restaurants, etc. Fun for young and old. 

You can visit Zadar, best to do by going into town by bus and walking around the old city. From Zadar you can take many tours that are arranged to visit the islands of Kornati, each tour is somewhat different, so ask for specifics, how big is the boat, where does it stop, what is included in the price etc. You can also book tours at the hotel in Borik, these may be a bit more expensive but at the same time they are tried and tested. If you enjoy the nightlife and party sailing make sure you find out where The Garden is in Zadar and visit their Petrčane cafe and bar and meet our local UK clientele. 

It is located across from the bus stop. Bus runs to Zadar every half hour. Tours begin to national parks and islands from Zadar old town. Diklo has its village festivities mid July. A lot of village activities and competitions for young and old.

The apartment comprises 1 bedrooms in total; 1 double. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the lounge. This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the apartment cool.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a kettle. You will also find an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Donna says: "We had a brilliant time and were so happy we will be booking same place for next year.Apartment was in perfect place, we got up in the morning crossed the road and had a swim in the perfect clear sea and went to bakers next door for breakfast. Zita the home owner was a mine of information and supplied us with fresh fruit from her trees and we had home made strudel, vegetable casserole and pastries-she was a lovely lady.We had an excellant meal at Nicos just 50m down rd and an excellant meal at the Taverna 50m up the road.There was a good little pub on a back St behind the house.The neighbours were very friendly. The bus stop is right accross rd and a bus arrives every half hour for town.Not noisy in the slightest. Not touristy yet ! and we had a lovely chill out holiday."
