Although we had travelled all over the world we fell in love with Turkey and in particular Dalyan. The weather was perfect. The people friendly and honest. We were tired of large crowded places and impersonal hotels. We dreamed of a beautiful and undiscovered paradise away from the crowds of Fethiye and Marmaris. 

Dalyan is a beautiful conservation area famous for boat trips on the river, lake and beaches. There is a trip for every day of the week but our favourites are the 12 island boat day trip and of course Lake Koycegiz and the Mud baths.

Locally the 7 kilometres of unspoilt Iztuzu beach is the main attraction along with the many historical sites and animal spotting, walking and cycling.

We love the convenience of not having a car as everything for convenience is within easy walking distance. Lots of restaurants and bars especially along the water front and even a couple of night clubs tucked away. 

We bought our villa and personally renovated the property because new villas either were slighlty too far out of town or had no authentic Turkish charm. We are situtated at the end of a quiet road away from the main street but still close to town.

We wanted a seperate front garden with a traditonal seating area for lazying away the nights as well as shady afternoons. The villa also has 3 balconies and a hammock as well as the patio so you are spoilt for choice of where to relax!

The pool area at the back of the property is designed to maximise the mountain views and is large enough for a good swim and splash about but with a special small childrens pool.

We have a local gardener to ensure the palms, grape vines, banana, orange, lemon, pomegranite and fragrant jasime are all well cared for. 

The property features a traditional Turkish cushioned kösk seating area for six and a relaxing hammock and balcony area in the front garden. In the rear garden there is a large patio and swimming pool with a childrens pool. The garden features a number of fruit trees, palms, vines and flowering plants. There is a large open living/dining area which accesses both the front and rear gardens. The house is fully screened throughout to allow the 'Dalyan breeze' to keep the house cool when the airconditioning is not in use. Also includes stairgates for toddlers and cushions for the sunbeds.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 2 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 8 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private swimming pool, a garden, a summer house, a patio area, a balcony, interesting views. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the villa you will find a beach, sailing, boat hire, fishing, climbing, flying, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find water skiing, wind surfing, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving.

Although next door to an apartment block, it is not overlooked due to some very carefull planting of trees. One or two minor problems occured but were dealt with swiftly by the local agents.A microwave in the kitchen would be helpfull. Looking forward to our next visit. Terry and Janet Ealson"
