The Gite sleeps 4-6, comprising of 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedded room on the first floor and a double bedsettee in the lounge.
The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen, with gas cooker and hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge, iron and ironing board plus shower room with WC and lounge dining room with TV,DVD & CD player.
The property has electric wall heaters and a woodburner in the lounge providing a cosy atmosphere.
Electricity, Gas, Linen and Towels are included in the rental price and logs can be provided during the colder months for the woodburner.
Upon arrival a welcome pack awaits, including Wine, bread, butter, milk, free range eggs and fresh bread. Croissants etc can be puchased from the mobile boulangerie van which calls daily.
Outside you will find an enclosed garden with views across the surrounding countryside, BBQ and patio furniture.
The gite is in the grounds of our house so if any problems arise or assistance is needed we will be on hand to help.
 

This pretty stone cottage is within the Deux Sevres area, bordering the Vendee, in the heart of the Poitou-Charantes, the second sunniest region of France surrounded by fields of sunflowers and maize giving easy access to the West coast beaches of Royan, Futurescope to the East and Cognac in the South. The gite is set in a peaceful rural location it is ideal for leisurely strolls or cycling.
This area of France has not been spoilt by heavy tourism and the welcome from local people is friendly and genuine. The countryside is ideal for walking and cycling from hamlet to hamlet, each with its own character. Fishing, boating, golf and horse riding are all available. The larger towns have traditional weekly markets with a variety of stalls, many selling local produce.
Only a 3 minute drive away is the Town of Coulonges Sur L'Autize, where you will find a Chateau and museum, restaurants, cafés, pharmacy, boulangerie and supermarket. A bustling weekly market is held in the Town square, selling an abundance of fresh produce, fish and cheese alongside clothing, flowers & livestock.
The area boasts the picturesque forests of Mervent & Vouvant & the beautiful Marais Poitevin with its canals, waterways and abundant restaurants. There is also an outdoor swimming pool within the town, with riding stables and a pleasure lake with waterslides only a 15min drive away.

The gite comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The gite has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The gite has television dvd. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The gite is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The gite is right beside walking.

Close to the gite you will find a beach, swimming, cycling, horse riding, historic sites, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the gite you will find fishing, golf, a theatre/cinema.

Within the owners garden there are swings,trampoline & table tennis for guest use.
