VistaVilla at VistaPark - Florida Villa rental as it should be
A stay at VistaVilla offers the best of both worlds. With the on-site management company the benefits of a top class villa, privacy, tranquillity, your own space, freedom to be yourself are all yours but then so are the benefits of a top class hotel, a 24 hour staff presence on site, 24 hour reception, concierge facilities, security

However, VistaParks staff are discreet and will not bother you. They wish you to have the benefits of privacy and enjoy your holiday as much as we do.

With your own pool (set to 88 degrees - included in the price)surrounded by an over large pool deck (with electric BBQ) just outside the villa, time spent around the pool is a joy. Because of the configuration of the houses a significant part of our east facing patio stay sunny throughout the day. There is also a covered area around the pool with fans and lights and the pool has lights and fountains.

Due to the direction of the patio, the spectacular Disney fireworks are clearly visible and make a wonderful backdrop to an evening BBQ by the pool.

There is a patio alarm for the safety of our younger visitors

What else is there apart from Disney?
Is Orlando ‘Pure Disney’

Well whilst the answer to that is clearly yes, it has everything bigger and better and “more” than we do, the point is though that it isn’t purely Disney.

Some other suggestions:-

Gatorland – come face to face with your pre-historic past with these mean reptiles, natures very own waste disposal units. Actually even for those who hate reptiles, this is a great day out. They filmed one of the James Bond films here, and for those who like their alligators in wallet form, they do that as well!

Sea World – full of altogether nicer creatures, including manatees and dolphins, but they have some of the meanest rides in Orlando.

Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure, at the end of International Drive. Pick up a brochure at VistaParks reception to see the latest rides

Airboat rides – down at Boggy Creek Road. A real experience for all. The experienced guides respect the wildlife, so don’t feel guilty about doing this trip.

Wonderworks on International Drive is good fun. Your brain / eyes do deceive you at times and here is where they prove it.

The Titanic exhibition is on International Drive as well. You are allocated the name of a real person who was on board and you can search on their name to see if they survived. They have a ‘real’ iceberg as part of the exhibition and visitors are encouraged to see how long they can last with their hands on it.

You can’t fly to the moon at Kennedy Space Centre, but a real live astronaut will answer your questions about what it is like. Think of interesting questions before hand.

Whilst on the east coast, why not try Ron Jon’s Surf Shop at Cocoa Beach, the place is amazing. Be warned – you can surf at Cocoa Beach, but we don’t recommend that you go for a swim.

Another east coast must is Daytona. Not only has it got a fantastic beach (again not for swimming), but this is the place of the famous Daytona Speedway, which was built as the beach proved to not be rugged enough for large race meets. There is a museum for petrol heads of all ages, together with two simulators. On one you can really race round the circuit against others, inside a real car. Very safe, but really fun to do. The cars take two, so any petrol heads in the making can see how Mum or Dad do.

If you are looking for an altogether more relaxing Day – try going to Tampa / St Petersburg / Treasure Island. You can swim in the sea here, lovely warm water and St Pete’s Pier is a great centre to wander round. The fishermen feed the pelicans here. There are boats that will take tourists out to fish. When we went my Husband caught a nine foot shark, so he says! His photographic evidence was less than convincing, but you might do better!

If you fancy more expensive pursuits, Orlando is a mega shopping paradise. Take an extra case out there, but do look into your luggage allowance first. Alternatively take fewer clothes than you think you will need. There is a washing machine and tumble drier at the house, so you won’t be stuck.

For some of the best shopping try Florida Mall – there are five Department Stores, two are on the very expensive side, with some wonderful clothes to buy for that very special occasion, but the others are really good value with some lovely clothes and homewares, with every other type of shop you can think of as well.

Or try the Bass Pro Shop – which is the place for everything for the outdoors, specializing in fishing, as well as clothing, shoes, golf equipment, camping equipment etc etc. This is not far from Universal Studios.

If you are looking for bargains (last year’s styles admittedly – but that can mean this year in the UK) try Premium Outlet Malls. They are massive, so arrange somewhere to meet so that everyone can go off and do their own thing.

There is a baseball hoop to practise your slam dunks at VistaPark.

Why not give one of the many Pirates Cove Mini Golf venues a try. They are the best group for mini golf in Orlando.

Or there are loads of ‘proper’ golf courses, from the small nine holers at Polo Park and Polo Park East, north less than a mile on US27 to Highlands Reserve, south on US 27 and Orange Lakes, east on the 192, being impressive 18 hole courses. My favourite is The Legends Golf and Country Club about nine miles north on the US 27 where the golf is great, the advantage to the ladies is fair (about 1,700ft) and the views of Lake Louisa are beautiful. Even at Polo Park and Polo Park East hire a buggy. It is hot to walk, pull clubs and play all in one go! The buggies are great fun and cheap to hire. If you don’t have clubs, you can hire them at the courses, or you might be able to buy some cheap second hand ones to bring home. There are some great golfing shops on International drive, not far from Belz.

With all this, when are you going to sit by the pool and watch Disney’s fireworks? – It’s usually at 9pm, but there will be at least one, if not four in total, every evening, and from memory none are before 8pm. They make a great backdrop to a BBQ dinner on the patio.

Review submitted by non-Villarenters customer: we have travelled to Florida most years for the past 28 years. It was gratifying to arrive at a villa and find it exactly as described not a usual occurrence, we had a great holiday and the villa certainly contributed greatly to it.

Once again many thanks and hope to rent from you next visit
