This really top class holiday home lies in Tovdalen's beautiful landscape, surrounded by tranquil Norwegian scenery at its best. Unusually stylish and elegant furnishings. The house lies undisturbed in woodland just 50m from Fosslaugfossen waterfall and Tveitvatnet lake with a wonderful view. There is good bathing here, even for children, from a little private sandy beach, where the boat is also kept, perfect for a calm evening trip on the lake or a fishing trip. Suitable for two families..

Hillestad is part of Tovdal, in the muncipality of Amli, Aust Agder Country. The holiday centre is ideally situated in picturesque surroundings, on the banks of the protected Tovdal river, with mountains on both sides towering as high as 860 m.a.s. Once you have experienced this fantastic landscape for yourself, you will understand why people have chosen to put down their roots here for the past 1000 years..

Close to civilisation yet unspoiled and virtually undiscovered, Åmli has beautiful valleys, endless stretches of forest and heath and idyllic lakes.
Here - next to the border with Setesdal and Telemark, you are in the kingdom of the beaver. You can study them at close hand - the cleverly constructed dams and artistically planned nests.
The other animal life is also unusually varied and rich and will tempt even the most blasé hunter or angler. There are marked trails and reasonably priced overnight accommodation in Tourist Association cabins.
Those who spend a few days in Åmli will soon appreciate that both body and soul can benefit from getting back to nature.
