Colonial Quito

World known for having the largest and best preserved Colonial section the area is currently undergoing a renovation Project sponsored by the city of Quito and FONSAL. The city itself was the second in the world to be names a world Heritage site by Fonsal in 1978. For years the area was neglected by the locals and crime was a problem. But now with a recent surge of interest from international investors, the area has been revitalized as one of Quito’s best places to visit and live. Its charming cobblestone streets and Renaissance churches and Colonial stately homes make it one of Latin America’s most culturally distinguished areas.


 

The apatment itself in newly contructed with only 10 years in age but is located in Quito oldest neighborhood.....La Loma. The apartment is very secure and quiet with gated entry into the apartment area. The apartment itself is two floors with a central stairway and entries on both floors. It has a marvelous view of the Panacillo from the outer walkway area on your second floor. 

Terra Firma properties operate and manages our apartments much like a hotel. We provide maid cleaning and laundry service. We also can provide for a cook and private chauffer. Our travel agency Excelsior Tours can offer a English, Italian, French or German Valet to assist you when you need it. We also offer tours of Colonial Quito as well as other interesting places in this great country.

The apartment has television dvd. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge. You will also find a washing machine. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this apartment.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing patio area, a balcony, panoramic views, interesting views.

Chester says: "A nice, cozy apartment in the old town. We enjoyed our stay, especially being able to buy food close by and cook in. Good money for the value if you want a little more space and enjoy cooking. Beware of a shower curtain that doesn't keep water off the floor and a cooler shower than you might be used to. As well, make sure you are clear about everything that is in the apartment up front (e.g., we were hassled about some towels, that we left, afterwards). "
