Colonial Quito

World known for having the largest and best preserved Colonial section the area is currently undergoing a renovation Project sponsored by the city of Quito and FONSAL. The city itself was the second in the world to be names a world Heritage site by Fonsal in 1978. For years the area was neglected by the locals and crime was a problem. But now with a recent surge of interest from international investors, the area has been revitalized as one of Quito’s best places to visit and live. Its charming cobblestone streets and Renaissance churches and Colonial stately homes make it one of Latin America’s most culturally distinguished areas.


 

VIEWS! This apartment is located on the third floor of a four story early 20th Century apartment building which has incredible PANORAMIC views of Colonial Quito. The terraza is off both dedrooms and is large enough to entertain. The balcony is off the living room and is large enough of two sitting chairs. The buidling was recently renovated maintaining its original "art deco" style but is located in a very Spanish Colonial nieghborhood with charming 18th and 19th Century homes. The building has a full time security guard and is secure. 

Terra Firma properties operate and manages our apartments much like a hotel. We provide maid cleaning and laundry service. We also can provide for a cook and private chauffer. Our travel agency Excelsior Tours can offer a English, Italian, French or German Valet to assist you when you need it. We also offer tours of Colonial Quito as well as other interesting places in this great country.

ARRIVING LATE???? Contact us about stocking your refrigerator the day of your arrival with food for breakfast, sandwhiches, fruit, snacks, refreshments or beer/wine. 

VIEWS! This apartment has incredible views from both a large terraza off both bedrooms and a balcony off the living room. Both are large enough for sitting and enjoying Colonial Quito´s magnificant sunrises and sunsets. There is also a nice view from the window of the kitchen of Colonial Quito. Unlimited use of a cellular phone for the apartment. It will be neccessary to purchase a calling card to make calls but recieving calls is free. The regular land line phone in the apartment can only recieve calls

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 2 double. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use.

The apartment has television. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this apartment.

The apartment is in a very quiet area. It has a north facing patio area, a south facing balcony, panoramic views, interesting views.

The apartment is right beside walking, historic sites.

Jason says: "The location is within an easy walking distance to all of Colonial Quito. There are many stores and internet cafes close which were very convienent. The only drawback was the lack of hot water, however there is a nice gas stove so you can heat some. Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Quito and the Casa Chavez was a safe. The one thing that I would suggest it to have the correct address for Excelsior Tours before you leave as they were in a different location from what they gave in the instructions which made for a stressful moment. All in all I would suggest this location."
