This property is located in the charming colonial village of Conocoto only 15 minutes from Colonial Quito. The village is very quiet and peaceful with local flavour and is the home of other weekend retreats for people that permanently reside in Quito. The local fruit and vegetable market are within walking distance to the house and the local Supermarket is only 5 minutes by car. It is located on the way south of Quito into the Valley de los Chilos and commands a higher view of the valley before descending. The village is safe, clean and extremely peaceful with easy access to Quito and all points south. Finnally, the weather is perfect in Conocoto! 

The house itself is nestled on a lot full of natural beauty. It has a fruit garden with mangoes, oranges, lemons, papayas, avocados and other various exotic fruit only found in Ecuador. It also has a organic garden full of the most popular vegetables. The flower garden surrounds the side and front of the house and is full of roses and other blooming flowers. There is a nice full grill located in the yard for full use. The covered garage allows you to park up to three cars. The entry to the house is by either a street door or an automatic garage door opener. 

The house was constructed only 10 years ago but was designed in the Spanish Colonial style. It has almost 300 square meters of space with three bedrooms, an office, living room/dining room, front den, kitchen/breakfast room, and upstairs terraza with a panoramic view of the valley. The two full baths are spacious and furnished with marble counter tops and shower/baths. There is a backyard patio as well as a font yard patio all tiled with ceramic Ecuadorian tile. The house is very open and spacious yet providing for privacy and quiet for several people.

The village house comprises 4 bedrooms in total; 4 double and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 9 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The village house has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The village house has television video, dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming and outgoing calls.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this village house.

The village house is in a very quiet area. It has a garden, a patio area, a balcony, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The village house is right beside walking.

Close to the village house you will find horse riding, historic sites, a museum, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the village house you will find climbing, mountain biking, a theatre/cinema.

The Volcano Cotopaxi and less than one hour away. Also Indigenous markets in near by villages.

Musuems, polo grounds, Colonial Quito, parks, and mountains.

Patrick says: "The property itself served us well, but was in great need of some care. Yard was very dry and there is no covered parking. Many of the furniture and art pieces in the ad were not in the house. Utensils were sufficient for the house, but more towels for larger groups would be recommended. If someone is in the shower, you can't use any other water in the house or it will be very affected. We loved the fireplace and being out of the hustle and bustle of Quito. It was a nice retreat, but it is about 40 minutes away from Quito. Once you know how to get there, it is much easier and Conocoto is a nice village. There is a carpenter 2 blocks away where we were able to procure some scrap wood for our fires. The villa is nice, but could be fantastic with a little more care and a few dollars invested in some updates. All in all it was a nice retreat."
