BATHROOM: Bath with electric shower over, basin, WC. Adjoins main bedroom (can be used as en-suite).

WC 2: WC, large handbasin. Situated near 2nd bedroom.

KITCHEN: Equipped with electric hob, double oven, microwave, fridge /freezer.

LOUNGE /DINING ROOM: Sofa and low seating, LCD TV with Freeview, DVD player, CD player with input port (for MP3/iPod connection). Broadband connection. Dining table and chairs. Desk. Tiled floor. Patio doors to south facing garden.

OTHER: Entrance hall with space for boots, coats. Back courtyard with outside hanging space for wetsuits.

CLEANING /LINEN: Bedlinen and bath towels are included – not beach towels. The property is cleaned before arrival although additional cleaning or a cook can be arranged at additional cost.

GARDEN /OUTSIDE SPACE: South-facing grassed area with barbecue, picnic table and parasol. Adjoins neighbouring farmland with direct access to country walks. Sea and countryside views.
 

Church Races is just metres from the South West coast path, offering an unrivalled opportunity to walk North or South along the cliffs and explore the stunning North Cornwall coast. It also has direct access to country walks heading inland across farmland to the Bude canal and beyond.

BEACHES

Some great beaches nearby (2 minute drive or 20 minute walk away): 2 family surf beaches with surf hire and summer life guards at Widemouth Bay and several beaches and a sea water swimming pool at Bude. Many other wonderful beaches further afield.

Other than its magnificent beach, Widemouth Bay has 2 beach café’s, a great local pub with restaurant, garden and sea views and a Post Office/local shop selling freshly caught fish, crab and lobster. There is also a restaurant with a growing reputation situated a short walk from Church Races (5 min. along the coast path).

Bude is an attractive Cornish seaside town with a harbour and canal, a few café’s/restaurants (one in particular which we highly recommend), some good local produce suppliers (including organic) and 3 major supermarkets. There are 1 or 2 decent boutiques/clothes stores, several good ‘serious’ surf equipment suppliers and plenty of ‘bucket-and-spade’ type shops selling inexpensive beach/surf gear.
 

1. The Annex is suited to a couple or family. It is not suitable for children under 6 years old. Babies upto 9 months old are welcome.

2. Please note that the garden/grounds are not fully enclosed so younger children will need to be supervised whilst outside. Regret no pets allowed.

3. Although the property is on one level, due to steps at the front door and uneven ground in the garden, it is not wheelchair friendly.

4. The Annex is self-contained and adjoins Church Races, which is sometimes occupied by other guests. The Annex and Church Races have separate parking areas, entrances and gardens, ensuring that your privacy will not be affected.

 

This coastal cottage adjoins open farmland and has direct access to country paths. With sea glimpses and countryside views from indoors, and good sea views from the back garden and picnic area, this property has the best of both worlds!

The cottage comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The cottage has television video, dvd. The music system will play cds.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a toaster. You will also find an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cottage is in a very quiet area. It has a south facing garden, sea views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking.

The cottage is right beside walking.

Close to the cottage you will find a beach, swimming, horse riding, golf, tennis, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find sailing, wind surfing.

The local store is 2 min. drive /20 min. walk away and sells local produce, fresh fish etc.

Barbecuing in the back garden, glass of wine in hand, while watching the sun set over the sea in vivid red and pink was a particular joy. Loved stepping straight from the garden on to the walking path through the farmland and woodland down to the canal and along to Bude, and in the other direction to the tea room. Also, not forgetting the easy access on to the coast path a few metres away and the magnificent coastal walks in both directions! To top it all, we had our first surf of the season and a few great days on the beach.
