'Chez Nicola' is a charming 2nd floor apartment located in the heart of the ancient walled medina of Essaouira, Morocco. Minutes from the hustle and bustle of the souks, the apartment has been decorated with unique/contemporary style and attention to detail.
The self-catering apartment sleeps up to 6 people (1 double room / 1twin room / living room (with 2 sofa beds) / kitchen / bathroom with huge feature 'tadelakt' bath /central dining area) and large roof terrace with sea views. There is daily cleaning and also the option to order traditionally cooked food to enjoy in the comfort of your apartment at your request. The atmosphere is laid back moroccan chic; one can enjoy a mint tea on the high terrace whilst taking in the panoramic views of the medina or relax in a candlelit bath with a glass of wine. There is a guardian on hand to help and advise as required.
There are links to the local surf club, so watersports including windsurfing/surfing/kitesurfing/bodyboarding can be easily arranged. Also; camel treks / quad bikes / horse riding and more..! 

Essaouira lies on the Atlantic coast, 100 miles from Marrakech. It takes its name - 'town of little ramparts' from the impressive fortifications left by its Portugese founders.
The unique charm of this town rests in the harmonious blend of its many different aspects; its moderate climate and superb beach, its working harbour and thuya wood workshops, its numerous souks and craft shops, its local artists and gnaoua musicians. Essaouira is a beautiful, unique and relaxed town. It has sunshine and bright blue skies nearly all year round. It is a popular destination for windsurfers, surfers, artists, musicians, independant travellers and families and is very up and coming. There are many local festivals, masses of culture and tradition and fine restaurants.
It has a rustic feel of simplicity and has retained its charm with its fusion of beach life, the traditional and daily life in the old medina, excellent cuisine and an easy friendliness with the local people.

The medina (or walled town) is pedestrian only. Essaouira is quite a small town, so a car is only necessary if one plans on taking day trips to nearby beaches or beyond. There are car hire agencies where it is possible to hire by the day.
Everything in Essaouira is within walking distance. 

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin. The property also has 2 single sofa beds located in the living room. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

trish says: "everything was made so easy, from booking the apartment and taxi thru to Said who speaks excellent english and was brilliant at making us feel welcome and giving us info on resturants, things to do and see etc, Fatima the cleaner does a great job and we had our breakfast made for us by her for a very reasonable price, the apartment is everything i hoped it would be and is ideally placed for the medina and the beach, i stayed there with my family and we all had an amazing time, i highly recommend this apartment and look forward to returning to stay there again"
