This lovely apartment has only just been completed and all the fixtures and fittings are of superb quality.

In some of the pictures you will notice things perhaps look a bit out of place and youd be right, they have now been put in their proper place but at the time of photographing they had only just arrived and been unpacked.

Casa Major is situated on the ground floor of a new property nestling at the top of a tiny cobbled street in the very heart of the beautiful fishing village of Burgau, just a minutes walk to the blue flag beach and less to the shops, bars & restaurants. Ideally placed for the little street market which takes place every weekday (only 2 or 3 stalls at most) and a very short walk to the renowned Cafe Ruis.

The apartment provides very comfortable accomodation for 4 adults and can accomodate a baby as well.

The Lounge area is furnished with a stunning corner settee which will seat 6 easily and has the benefit of tv with sky, dvd, radio/cd player etc.

The master bedroom is a double with fitted wardrobes and a lovely en suite bathroom which contains a shower, a round sink in granite surround a toilet and bidet.

bedroom 2 can be made up as a king size double, a single or 2 singles whichever you prefer, and again contains fully fitted wardrobes and clever over the bed storage and shelving.

The main bathroom which is next to this bedroom has a shower a round granite set sink and loo and a bidet.

The kitchen area is superbly equipped with every convenience to make your holiday relaxing and if you prefer to eat in would make cooking an absolute pleasure.
 

Whilst small the village has 24 restaurants and bars catering for every taste and pocket including the famous Beach Bar. All of these are within a maximum of 5 minutes walk and most a lot less.

It also has the added advantage of 2 local swimming pools, so visitors who dont wish to use the beach can use the pool if they purchase their drinks and snacks as well.

Burgau also boasts a Newsageants, 2 supermarkets, 2 wine shops, 2 gift shops, Estate Agent, Property Management and its own cash machine. - The Sports centre just outside of the village has a swimming pool, football, squash and tennis courts all of which you can use, and also run a very good children’s activity programme.

Scuba Diving and Surfing schools are in the village and activities take place from the beach regularly.

Burgau is serviced by a good bus service and taxis, but we always recomend car hire for guests where possible and are happy to book them for you at the best prices available.
 

Burgau is situated just a couple of minutes from the national park conservation area so is surrounded by beautiful countryside with many interesting walks.

It is also ideally placed for those who may like a more active side to their holiday as just 10minutes drive from the magnificent town of Lagos with its beautiful marina and its historic sites.

The West Coast with miles of beautiful beaches is 30 mins away by car and the furthest point in Europe Cape St Vincente is even less.

Golfers are ideally situated in Burgau as there are more than 10 superb courses all within 30 mins drive. 

This apartment is new this season and is equipped to a very high standard with everything you will need to have a super holiday.

The apartment comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The apartment has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use.

The apartment has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 9 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this apartment.

The property is suitable for disabled as it is all on one level and the street outside is also on the same level. However Burgau itself is has very steep cobbled hills so the village may not suit all disabled people. 

The apartment is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise.

The apartment is right beside a beach, swimming, fishing, climbing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, historic sites, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the apartment you will find sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, flying, horse riding, golf, a museum, a zoo, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas.

Within easy reach of the apartment you will find a themepark.

Within 10 mins drive of 3 superb golf courses Parque De Floresta, Boa Vista, Palmares

Kath says: "We spent a very comfortable week here at the begining of August 2008. The apartment is one of the best equipped in which we have stayed. All of the appliances, furnishings and fittings are of excellent quality and everything that you require for self catering is on hand. The TV has many channels with french, english, german and portuguese available. There is only one drawback of which we were aware in that it does not have an outside seating area, but for a weeks stay when we were out nearly all of the time this was not a drawback. It is in the centre of the village and all of the restaurants, beach and shops are within a minute to two minutes reach. Enjoy."
