Casa Dom Duarte is a first floor, spacious one bedroom apartment, situated on the award winning Marina de Lagos complex, only a few minutes walk from the wonderful beach of Meia Praia. Take a five minute walk to the town centre of Lagos, amble along the bustling Marina quay side with its shops, restaurants and bars and gaze at the yachts moored at the pontoons. Crossing the “opening” Marina Bridge will take you onto the Avenida dos Descobrimentos and into the heart of the old town, where there are many more shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. The golf courses at Palmares and Boavista Golf Resort are within five to ten minutes drive and the courses at Penina to the east and Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort to the west are about 25 minutes drive away. 

This stylish and modern apartment is beautifully furnished with the living/dining room having a South facing balcony enjoying views into the Palm tree garden and towards the Marina. Wooden patio dining furniture and two loungers are provided for al fresco dining or just relaxing and the kitchen comes fully equipped with a cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine and combination microwave. The bedroom has twin beds and plenty of hanging and cupboard space and there is a full bathroom equipped with bath and shower over. The apartment is air conditioned providing a comfortable environment, even in the height of the summer and heating is also available so this apartment is suitable for winter living. Satellite TV (limited channels – Sky News, BBC, ITV and Euro Sport) is available and there is a CD/DVD Player.

There is an allocated space in the private secure underground car park and the apartment block is accessed by a keycode and videophone entry system with stairs and a lift to all floors. Complimentary use of the swimming pool and sun loungers, for 2 people, at the Marina Club Suite Hotel next door to the apartment is also included although use of the facilities at the adjoining health club is payable locally.
 

The cosmopolitan town of Lagos, which many believe to be the best on the Algarve, is on your doorstep. The Marina dominates the river as it opens into the sea and you can choose activities such as deep sea fishing, a dolphin seafari trip and yacht hire. Lagos is an historic town with some city walls still standing after the earthquake of 1755 and there are several museums and churches worth a visit. This is a working Portuguese town with markets, shops and plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The fabulous west coast beaches, where the surfing is renowned, are only 30 minutes drive away and the Monchique hills and the historic old capital of the Algarve, Silves, is an equal distance the other way. As Casa Dom Duarte is so centrally situated, a car is not essential for your holiday enjoyment and there are good private and public transport transfer options to and from the airport at Faro but to gain an appreciation of just what the Western Algarve can offer, a car is recommended.

You will also find a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.
