Apartment Duarte is a second floor, one bedroom apartment, situated on Lagos Marina area, only a few minutes walk from the wonderful beach of Meia Praia. Take a five minute walk to the town centre of Lagos, amble along the bustling Marina quay side with its shops, restaurants and bars and gaze at the yachts moored at the pontoons. Crossing the “opening” Marina Bridge will take you onto the Avenida dos Descobrimentos and into the heart of the old town, where there are many more shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. The golf courses at Palmares and Boavista Golf Resort are within five to ten minutes drive and the courses at Penina to the east and Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort to the west are about 25 minutes drive away. 

Apartment Dom Duarte is beautifully furnished with both the living/dining room and bedroom having balconies enjoying wonderful views over the Palm tree garden to the Marina. Patio furniture for outside dining is provided. The kitchen comes fully equipped with a cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine and microwave and dishwasher. The living/dining room has twin sofas, coffee table and a dining table with seating for 4 people.
The bedroom has a double bed and large wardrobe with ample hanging space. There is a bathroom with shower over the bath. The apartment is air conditioned providing a comfortable environment, even in the height of summer. Heating is also available so this apartment is suitable for winter living. Satellite TV (limited channels – Sky News, BBC News and Euro Sport) is provided and there is a DVD.

The apartment comes with an allocated underground car parking space accessed from the Meia Praia road. Once parked, there is lift to all floors. Complimentary swimming pool access at the nearby Marina Club Suite Hotel is available with this apartment. Use of the facilities at the adjoining health club is payable locally. There is also a playground for children in the near vicinity.
 

The cosmopolitan town of Lagos, which many believe to be the best on the Algarve, is on your doorstep. The Marina dominates the river as it opens into the sea and you can choose activities such as deep sea fishing, a dolphin seafari trip and yacht hire. Lagos is an historic town with some city walls still standing after the earthquake of 1755 and there are several museums and churches worth a visit. This is a working Portuguese town with markets, shops and plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The fabulous west coast beaches, where the surfing is renowned, are only 30 minutes drive away and the Monchique hills and the historic old capital of the Algarve, Silves, is an equal distance the other way. As Apartment Dom Duarte is so centrally situated, a car is not essential for your holiday enjoyment but to gain an appreciation of just what the Western Algarve can offer, a car is recommended.
