DE PIJP a very well known area in Amsterdam its right on the border of the centre......THE HOTSPOT, for the last 10 years has this place been developed in to a smart everything you need area with out needing to go further in to the centre,
Hip bars, great restaurants for a reasonable price, hip shops
in all the small streets, but the best part is you can walk every where you need to go, the Rembrandt square is 10 min walking and this walk takes you trough all the canals and beautiful hip shops.
However if you choose to take the local transport its right on site just across the street is the stop for tram 4 will take you strait within 5 min into centre.
