Welcome to our holiday home! Newly renovated, Villa Mimosa is a trullo and lamia with a modern extension. It is situated in a private road, 6 km south of Martina Franca, in the peaceful, unspoilt countryside of the Valle d'Itria. Villa Mimosa has its own private pool (5x10m) and 3 acres of land including a vineyard, an olive grove, every variety of fruit and nut tree and a small pine wood. There is also a vegetable plot and herb garden.

Roman steps lead into the private 5m x 10m pool which has a shallow end of 1.00 m and a deep end of 2.20 m. There is a terrace with sunloungers and an outside shower beside the pool.

In front of the villa is a terrace which is partly shaded by a pergola and has a barbeque and patio furniture. Gardens filled with jasmine, roses, thyme and rosemary surround the terraces.

Located near Martina Franca, a car is essential. 

 

On request at her home - Mamma Giovanna cooks delicious local dishes and serves them to you under the cool pines in her front garden. A truly Italian experience (10 mins walk).

The Grape Harvest - a mini grape harvest takes place at Villa Mimosa at the end of September beginning of October. We pick in the morning have a harvest lunch (outside on the terrace last year!) and the wine presser comes over in the afternoon. The resulting liquid eventually turns into another year’s supply of wine.

The Olive Harvest - we collect our olives in early to mid November at Villa Mimosa, only on warm sunny days otherwise it is not a pleasure. We usually picnic (with our own wine, of course!). The olives are taken to the olive mill for pressing into our own delicious, extra virgin olive oil.

Beach towels are also provided. Baby-sitting can be arranged. As we are resident in this area we are on hand to offer assistance/advice should it be required.

The villa comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The villa is in a very quiet area. It has a private south facing swimming pool, a south facing garden, a south facing patio area, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The villa is right beside swimming, walking.

Close to the villa you will find historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the villa you will find a beach, horse riding, golf, a zoo, a themepark.

5 min to the nearest restaurant which is in a Masseria (old farmstead). 10 min to the Aquapark.
