Dordogne cottage rental details
La Mariotte
In a small hamlet of around 10 houses this delightful Périgordian cottage has been fully and lovingly renovated to create a beautiful family holiday home accommodating for 8-10 persons. 'La Mariotte' is located close to the famous Dordogne valley and some of the most reputed medieval châteaux and sites of interest. The area offers plenty of good restaurants, modern facilities, sporting activities as well as inumerable cultural visits for the family. The small medieval town of Belves is just 7 kms from the house making the property perfect for a relaxing family vacation.
La Mariotte
Set on 3 floors the front door leads from the lawned courtyard directly into the large open plan dining-living room. At one end of the room armchairs and a comfortable settee are set by the functional open fireplace. In the living room you will find a television, a recorder and a DVD player as well as a phone line (the communications will be charged at the end of the holiday).
The dining table and chairs for 10 persons are in the centre of the room by the pretty kitchen bar, built in old bricks and beams pleasantly separating the kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, electric oven and hob top, microwave oven, coffee machine and all modern appliances. The washing machine is located on the ground floor in a separate utility room.
The house is furnished with quality and antique furnishings giving it an authentic feel whilst enjoying a modern renovation and practical design.
In total there are 3 double bedrooms and 4 single beds located on a secure mezzanine area. The master bedroom is located on the ground floor next to the master bathroom with a bath, a shower cubicle and double wash basins. The toilet is separate.
The central hallway leads down a wooden staircase to the first floor with 2 further pretty double rooms and one shower room. This bathroom offers a shower cubicle, WC and wash basin.

They are both beautifully designed and will certainly thrill any young guests who can enjoy the whole upper floor for themselves!
The new swimming pool is presently being fully installed for Spring, 2005 and we suggest will make the property absolutely ''perfect''. Located by the lawned courtyard the swimming pool measures 9x4m and is surrounded by a pebble beach with sunbeds for relaxing on hot and lazy summer days. Adults may enjoy the possibility of dining in the shade of the parasols in the lawned courtyard whilst being able to keep a watch on children bathing in safety.
