Villa Butzelaar is a pretty house perfectly located in the heart of the Perigord Noir, and perfect for a family holiday discovering the region whilst enjoying the peace and exceptional views from the house and private swimming pool. Being located on the small road linking Montignac and the tiny village of Plazac (1.5 kilometres from the house) there is easy access to an abundence of sites and local amenities. St Leon sur Vézère, one of the most beautiful village of France is delightful, with it's 12th century church and it's numerous castles, it's quaint winding streets, it's bakery for fresh croissants, Post office, little grocery store and café with sunny terraces. 

The property is set all on the ground floor and offers 3 bedrooms - two double rooms, one with a hand basin unit, and one bunk-bed room with a single bed too for 2-3 younger guests. There is one bathroom with a shower cubicle, a bath, wash-basin and toilet. There is also a second toilet, separate from the bathroom.

The living -dining room is spacious and has comfortable sofas and coffee table by the decorative fire-place. There is a radio-cassette player and French television for entertainment. The living room opens via large French patio doors to the wooden covered terrace where a dining table may comfortably seat 7 persons for breakfast or evening barbecues whilst the sun sets.

There are also sun chairs and a coffee table on the terrace giving comfortable shade from the midday sun. The kitchen area is separated from the living area by a breakfast bar with stools. The kitchen is well equipped for everyday cooking. Guests will find a gas oven and hob top, microwave, fridge-freezer, dish-washer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle and all necessities.

The swimming pool is maintanined by the owners and kept immaculately clean. Measuring 10 x 5m and from 120 - 200cm in depth small children can play and swim under close supervision of adults who will enjoy the sun beds, table and chairs and parasols on the patio area. Guests will be happy to find that the pool area enjoys total privacy with no over-looking neighbours, apart from maybe the occasional squirrel in the adjacent trees !

The friendly owners live just a couple of hundred metres away in a separate property but are always at hand and happy to help if guests have any particular needs or need some orientation around the local area.

There are innumerable nature walks all around the area for all levels of enthusiasm ! There is a wide variety of restaurants & cafes within a 10 kms radius which are suited for all tastes. The local tourist Information Office is close by and can help you plan a programme of sites of interest. A selection of information leaflets are provided upon arrival to help you find your way around.
