Ortakent village offers two excellent family run bakers, a butchers, tailors, barbers, chemist and a handful of local grocers, lokantas and a colourful weekly street market. Two large supermarkets are just 5 mins drive away for larger weekly shops.
Ortakents sandy beach is perfect for families with a large choice of watersports including windsurfing, sailing, lazers, picos and catamarans-tuition is also available. Motorized watersports are also on offer. For couples there are a selection of waterside restaurants, cafes and bars, the perfect way to while away the long, hot summer days. 

Bodrum and the penninsula has so much to offer both the returning and new visitor to Turkey. Historic sights-Bodrum Castle has a fine glass collection and one of the oldest recorded ship wrecks. A lazy day on a handcrafted gulet boat is a must whilst in the area. Shopping is a delight, either at the famous,colourful street markets or at the many shops offering everything from designer clothes to genuine fakes, Turkish delight and carpets.
The choice of restaurants, cafes and bars are ovewhelming ranging from simple lokantas, dining along with the locals or exclusive eateries - the choice is yours.
