Just minutes from the house, down lovely rural lanes, lies the River Rance for fishing, walking and swimming. The river footpath links the village to the picturesque village of St Suliac with river beach, beach cafe and sailing school. The cottage has a spacious and light open-plan layout with 3 sets of French windows leading out onto the patio (with BBQ) and enclosed lawned gardens (safe for children). Extremely comfortable and spacious accommodation for 6 people + baby (travel cot and high chair provided free of charge).

* St Cast - a large seaside resort (wind surfing and sailing) with long sweeping bay, promenade and good beach.
* Dinard - an Edwardian resort with good beaches, artists' shops, splendid promenade and coastal walks.
* St Briac-Sur-Mer - totally unspoilt seaside village with small cafe for snacks / ice creams.
* St Jacut de la Mer - small village with nice beaches and small islands.
PLACES OF HISTORIC INTEREST: Mont St Michel; Cancale (famous for its oysters and sea food restaurants); St Malo (walled town with lots of shops restaurants and aquarium); Dinan (rampart walk for magnificent views, medieval centre, historic buildings, timber framed houses, portside restaurants, Thursday morning market, boat trips etc); Jugon-Les Lacs (a large lake with recreational facilities, including a heated outdoor swimming pool and restaurants); Rennes (medieval town centre and Sat am market).
CYCLING: Canalside towpaths run from Port Lyvet right up to Rennes (perfect car-free cycling for the children).
HORSE RIDING: Our local village riding stables situated at the top of the road offers regular pony treks through the beautiful countryside and along the river banks.
GOLF: Le Tronchet championship golf course at Miniac-Morvan (tel. 0033 2 99 58 96 69).15 mins by car.
BRING YOUR OWN BOAT: There is a slipway nearby for easy boat launching and space at the cottage to park a car + small boat / canoe (max length 6 m).  

Bakery / small shop in the village. Good bar / restaurant by the old bridge at Port St Jean (15 minute walk). Grocery shop, creperie, fish restaurant and beach bar / cafe (moules frites / steak frites etc) in nearby St Suliac (3 kms). River beach for swimming and sailing school at St Suliac. Plouer-sur-Rance with its marina, restaurants & large supermarket is 5 mins by car. Hypermarket at La Madeleine in St Malo. Market towns abound with regular market days. Numerous shops, restaurants and cafes in Dinan, St Malo and Dinard ( Ryanair flies from Stansted), all within 20 minutes of the cottage.  

Linen is provided but please bring your own towels and cot linen.

The cottage comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin and 1 cots. . This gives room for up to 6 people.

The cottage has 1 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The cottage has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cds. Recreational activities available with the cottage include table tennis.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, a freezer, a kettle. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The cottage is in a very quiet area. It has a west facing garden, a west facing patio area, panoramic views, interesting views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.

The cottage is right beside walking, cycling, horse riding.

Close to the cottage you will find a beach, swimming, sailing, fishing, a restaurant, a food shop.

Within easy reach of the cottage you will find boat hire, wind surfing, golf, historic sites, a zoo, shopping areas.

Space for small boat / canoe (up to 6 m) in driveway. Slipway nearby for easy launching.

Elizabeth says: "Normally photographs of holiday cottages do the property justice, but not in this case, the cottage was far nicer. There were five adults in our party and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The property is in a great location and easy to find. Our only bug bears were the mad church bell ringers (126 rings at one point), there were quite a few chipped plates and we felt the addition of a microwave would have been helpful."
