Tajinaste 14 is a Villa with extraordinary views and reasonable access to all that Gran Canaria has to offer. San Agustin Beach is within walking distance and Playa del Ingles is a short drive away with the Maspalomas sand dunes fully visible from the terrace.

The Villa is fully equipped and very functional. There is plenty of space for sunbathing in the terrace and the pool is very welcoming when a cool down is required in the Summer. The pool is ecologically heated guaranteeing water temperature of 25ºC (78ºF) in the Winter. The terrace arrangement with its barbeque location makes life outdoors a pleasure.

The lounge is equipped with cable television and various international channels are available. ADSL is also available.

Cleaning service is available one morning a week when either general cleaning or occupier designated tasks, such as ironing, are undertaken. The pool is serviced once a week.

At an extra cost a cook can be organised to cook several dishes with fresh produce, procured by the occupier, which can then be heated on demand by the occupier. Although suggestions are by the chef other dishes are possible.
 

The Villa is in a secluded, quiet neighbourhood with vehicle access control and with a night security guard. There is no through traffic hence walking in the area is pleasant and safe.

Five minutes walk away there is an enticing fully equipped Spa as well as a renowned restaurant with memorable panoramic views.

Ten minutes walk away there is a typical tourist area shopping centre with its full complement of shops, restaurants, cafes, markets et al.

Fifteen minutes away at a leisurely pace you will find San Agustin beach. This beach is functional with very fine sand and normally quiet. Within swimming distance the coast is suitable for snorkling.

Once at the beach it is possible to walk all the way to Maspalomas through Playa del Ingles and the famous sand dunes. There are some watering holes on the way but the objective should be Maspalomas Oasis where you can eat and gather energy for the 5 mile walk back… although the best option is to take a Taxi back which are readily available at the Maspalomas Oasis.
 

Strictly speaking a car is not essential but it could be argued that is necessary for the full Gran Canaria experience. Having said this there is a well served Tele-Taxi Stop 10 minutes walk away which evidently can also be called for a pick up.

There is a shopping centre 5 minutes away with a proper local supermarket and a big Spar supermarket with “standard pricing”. As discussed a 1 week shopping can easily be undertaken in this shopping centre using the taxi service.

All that Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas and Meloneras has to offer is only a few miles away and in less than 10 minutes you can drive point to point anywhere in these three resorts. Meloneras resort is the most modern and offers the most up-to-date installations. If you want a local experience San Fernando is the village that serves these resorts and again is within five minutes drive.

Vecindario is a 15 minute drive northbound and here you will find a mall (probably noticed it on your drive from the airport to the property). This is a typical mall not out of place in any big Spanish city. Its cinemas screen some films with their original soundtracks and there is a tapas restaurant that serves exquisite oven roasted pork leg.

Less than 45 minutes away northbound on the GC-1 you will arrive at the city. Your first stop should be a car park in the Triana area from where you can walk to Vegueta, the historic part of town with its Cathedral and the Santa Ana square. Triana in itself is worth visiting with its regenerated commercial centre constituted of pedestrian streets and period architecture.

Your second stop should be El Muelle Shopping Centre towards the port area where you have 3 hours free parking. From here there is a five minute walk to La Playa de las Canteras, a gem of a beach and arguably amongst the most beautiful within a big city. Here good food and a feast for your eyes is guaranteed.

Still within the city confines but in the outskirts you can drive towards the botanical garden in Tafira with its beautiful views and endemic flora it will be simple to appreciate the beauty of nature. If you so choose the crater of Bandama is a 10 minute drive away from here and there you can observe the expanse of the whole city and see as far afield as the airport.

Driving Southbound on the GC-1 towards Mogan you will come to the port of Mogan in about 30 minutes. This is a small resort that although bursting at the seams its size has been contained. A quaint little Venice is far fetched as a description but the intention of the designer was good. The adjoining beach is appealing and the commercial centre although a little untidy is bubbly and on Fridays there is a very popular market where you can find some good imitation caps, belts, bags etc.

The most ambitious excursion is perhaps to drive Northbound towards the Port of Agaete where you can get a fast ferry crossing to Tenerife (just over 1 hour crossing). Mount Teide at almost 4000 meters tall is a spectacle on its own worth taking the day trip for. Loro Parque is also world renowned with the biggest Penguin artificial habitat in the world and an impressive Orca Ocean as well as other world class attractions.

There are many other excursions that can be planned or even ventured onto since however lost you get you will never be more than an hours drive from home.
 

Ecologically heated pool.

The villa comprises 3 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 2 twin, 1 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. . This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, radio.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this villa.

The villa is in a quiet area but you may hear occasional noise. It has a private east facing swimming pool, a east facing patio area, sea views, panoramic views, a barbeque. If you are driving there is private parking and a garage with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
