Situated in this unspoilt part of Spain, lies this newly developed property which features, 4 bedrooms, one upper double with balcony to the front with beautiful sea views with 28" tv,one ground floor twin and two upper bedrooms with twin beds and adult bunk beds. All bedrooms have large, spacious built in wardrobes + tv.The balcony has a seated areas for alfresco dinning and private morning breakfasts. It has two bathrooms one upper with full size bath and shower and one on the ground floor complete with shower cubicle. The front door leads directly into a very spacious living room complete with, sky TV with all English chanels, dvd/video, Sony Playstation 2 and cd/cassete/radio. The livng room has 2 luxury sofas that allows the accomodation to seat 8 people. Their is also a baby travel cot, high chair and a fold down push chair for familes with small children. The dining room forms part of the living room with pull out extending table and seating for 8. It has a separate kitchen with hob, oven, large fridge/freezer, microwave and cooking utensils. The rear of the property enjoys a secluded area for private dining with patio furniture and sun umbrella and BBQ for outdoor cooking. Alternatively, it can also be used for private bathing. Their is an outside shower area with a small utility complete with washing machine, clothes line and outside sink basin. The property also offers off road parking, has hot & cold air conditioning,+fans in all the rooms and is alarmed. It has a large gated communal swimming pool with child area . The house is just 2 minutes walk to a beautiful beach, which has all types of water sports available.and large bar/restaurant that does English food. A supamarket, pharmacy and three spanish and English bars are also a two minute walk away from the house. For the more sporty, their are 4 mountain bikes to make good use of, What better way to see the local scenery the famous salt lakes with its pink flamingos, and the parrots flying round on the beach,plus there is lots more to see and do.We do reccomend people hire a car to see alot more of the beautiful area. Five minutes walk away is a big go-cart track ,great for the Adults : let alone the kids! Notes: The communal swimming pool is large with a baby/child area. The house has only two steps at the front door, with a twin bedroom on the ground floor level which has large built in wardrobe and downstairs bathroom complete with shower cubicle all on one level,with plenty of storage space. It makes it suitable for people with wheelchairs but is not designed specifically for disabled people. But there is plenty of room to get around as the house is very spacious.







 

If golfing is your sport then you can't get better than La Manga Club. Situated just 5 minutes drive away it offers 3 championship courses. It has also become a favorite for top European Premier League football teams to practise their training due to the exceptional climate. Recently La Manga Club was used for the filming of Superstars. The complex also offers exceptional nightlife with live bands, disco, fine dinning and casino. Also their are another 26 courses up and down the coast, including, Villa Martin, Campoverde and Campamore witch are all very good courses.


The Mediterranean coastline offers fantastic scuba diving opportunities and throughout Spain there are numerous diving centres and clubs.

MUDS THERAPY
The Mar Menor offers the visitor the largest open-air mud therapy area in Europe. The muds are located in several Mar Menor places. The best known area is "Las Charcas de las Salinas" in Lo Pagán (North Mar Menor). Other areas are El Ciervo island -see location on La Manga map 2A- and Los Alemanes beach -see location on La Manga map 1A-.

A RICH AND VARIED CHOICE

La Manga over the years has become home for a large cosmopolitan society made up of all nationalities and this mix means that the services, goods and products on offer is more varied than would normally be found in Mediterranean resorts. There is a complete mix of nationalities, including many English, German, Swedish and Belgian business owners, to name but a few, which means that everyone has the opportunity to try different cuisine and sample different atmospheres created by these intrepid settlers in Spain.

At nearby Cabo de Palos the Sunday market offers a great variety of goods for sale, from fresh fruit and vegetables to clothes, shoes, hand-crafted goods and gifts being among the most popular. The market receives visitors from many of the surrounding areas, who then drift down to the harbor to take a tapa (Drink/Snack), stay for lunch or just stroll along the quayside

A GASTRONOMIC EXPERIENCE

As we mentioned earlier, La Manga offers a wealth of different styles of cuisine although it is fair to say that the typically Mediterranean style of cooking is available in all good restaurants. This includes paellas, fresh fish, freshly grilled meats and succulent salads, normally using locally grown produce. In fact the whole area has seen a considerable increase in agricultural production as a result of the extension of the areas now covered by irrigation from the Tajo-Segura river diversions. This can be seen by the fields leading to La Manga with their automatic irrigation systems and up-to-date planting and harvesting machines. One of the local delicacies is a whole fish (usually locally caught mujol or dorada) cooked in a jacket of salt, which, although when served is quite often considered to lack a little in terms of presentation, is a very delicate and filling dish. Lobster is also available, as are oysters when in season, and a great variety of shellfish brought in each day by the fishermen from Cabo de Palos

DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY

Spanish night-life is well known for its ability to start late and finish early - in the morning, that is! La Manga is no different. What nicer way to spend the evening than with friends, taking a drink or dining under the stars, with the moon reflecting from either one of the two seas? The visitor can choose from every possible type of bar or restaurant, and during the summer months people come from miles around to experience the nightlife of La Manga.
The young tend to head for Cabo de Palos, which changes from a sleepy fishing village by day to a bustling selection of pubs with music to suit all. The nearby commercial centre called Las Dunas also attracts its aficionados. Everyone, young or old, visit El Zoco Alcazaba with its collection of shops, bars and restaurants at some time during their stay in La Manga. Things really come alive in the early hours of the morning and offer an incredible selection of bars and music for those with stamina and no need to be up early the next day The Siesta

The house has television video, dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 8 in the living room and 8 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. The house is right beside a beach, swimming, sailing, water skiing, boat hire, wind surfing, fishing, climbing, walking, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports center, scuba diving, shopping areas, a restaurant, a food shop.

Close to the house you will find historic sites, a museum, a theatre/cinema.

Vic, Clair and I had a very relaxing enjoyable time in your 2nd house (34 Calle Bomilcar) recently (27th August to 6th September). As a struggling swimmer I found the sea easy to negotiate and very very safe. I loved how the beach was literally 2 mins walk away. A very peaceful resort-ideal for families and couples. We loved Cabo de Palas - my favourite and Vic loved Zocco on the strip for some nightlife. The legendary Piano Bar at La Manga was also a hit.

The only thing we would say is that you do need a car if you want some nightlife without having to pay for taxis.

At least the bikes mean you can take advantage of the easily manageable paths to other local amenities.
