The apartments are Andalusian in design, set within secure gated urbanizations with beautiful gardens and large communal swimming pools. The apartments have solariums (roof terraces) with stunning views. Access to the swimming pool areas are only a few steps away.  

Portman has a pharmacy, health centre, an Upper supermarket, greengrocer and a variety of shops, 2 banks, approx seven or eight bars (one being the popular Santana bar (English owners) open all year round (with free WIFI internet access) and a very traditional and renowned Spanish restaurant, Casa Cegarra, specialising in traditional paella and local cuisine, all only a few minutes’ walk away. There is also a school in Portman. Set alongside a huge bay, Portman is an old mining village, where you can enjoy the contrast of the historic remnants of an era long gone and the flourishing newly developing village scene, set in beautiful hillsides where you can walk for miles either on recognised walks or just go where the fancy takes you. There are also fantastic cycling routes for road bikes and mountain bikes. The villagers are full of character and their friendly nature makes Portman a very special place to spend time.
