More shops can be found 10 minutes away at Dos Mares which has an Eroski hypermarket, along with electrical, fashion, jewellry and craft shops on the lower level. There is a communal pool within the complex, and via a short drive you can reach the beaches of the Mar Menor with their excellent watersports and safe bathing. At the northern tip of the Mar Menor is the marina of Lo Pagan, and a short walk from here are the inland mud flats which are renowned for their therapeutic properties. Just beyond this are the mediteranean resorts of El Mojon and Pilar, and all can be reached within 15 minutes by car. For the golf enthusiast, there are over 10 courses within 30 minutes drive, including the famous La Manga club. The historic towns of Cartagena (30 mins) and Murcia (40 mins) are also well worth a visit.
