Casa Almendra is a beautifully appointed two bedroom, two bathroom townhouse on the renowned five star Polaris World La Torre golf resort. Our stylish townhouse offers benefits not available in an apartment such as additional privacy (no noisy neighbours above or below), three outside terraces with enclosed rear garden, more internal space and two ensuite bathrooms - all at a very comparable price!

Whilst our home is in a quiet location, it is only a 5 minute walk to the resort’s Town Centre, where the Clubhouse, bars, restaurants, bank, hairdresser and pool bar can be found (seasonal opening of some bars/restaurants). It is also just a few minutes walk to the resort’s well-stocked supermarket and one of the many (22) communal swimming pools which have both Jacuzzi pools and children’s pools.

For those who enjoy golf but like to maintain their privacy, our house offers the ideal compromise of being very near the golf course, but with uninterrupted peaceful views of the almond orchards and mountains beyond. For our comfort, and that of our guests, we do not allow smoking anywhere on our property.

The accommodation consists of two double bedrooms each with a bathroom– a twin downstairs and a private master bedroom upstairs with a king-size bed, an en-suite shower room and an outside terrace which is accessed by French windows. The en-suite is fully equipped with sink, toilet, bidet, bathroom cabinets and a separate shower cubicle. The downstairs bathroom has sink, toilet, bidet, bathroom cabinet, bath and over-bath shower. Both bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes, with plenty of coathangers provided, bedside cabinets, clock radios and ample drawer space. There are hair dryers in both bedrooms.

For secluded and private sunbathing there is a fabulous upper rooftop solarium accessed from the first floor terrace, which offers magnificent views over the entire resort and surrounding countryside. All our outside terraces are furnished with tables, chairs, loungers and a parasol for lazing or al fresco dining at any time as all benefit from external lighting. We provide four additional lightweight sunbeds which can be taken to the beach or resort pools and two beach umbrellas.

The large open-plan living area on the ground floor comprises lounge/diner and kitchen, with a terrace outside with a dining table and six chairs accessed by large patio doors. The purpose-built Spanish style barbeque is conveniently situated for outside cooking and dining and for additional privacy the rear of the property is fully enclosed by fencing, with a gate at the side of the house. This is ideal for families with young children. There is also a separate rear entrance to the property via the utility room, which can be used for storage of suitcases and/or golf clubs.

Furnished to an exceptionally high standard throughout, there are two sofas (one of which is a sofa-bed to allow for an additional two guests or to provide more flexible sleeping arrangements for male golfing parties as an example), extendable dining table and chairs to seat six and a large flat screen TV with over 40 English channels including BBC and ITV. We also provide a hi-fi and DVD player (with a selection of CDs and DVDs) and there are coffee tables, lamps and rugs to complete the ambience.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, large fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, and all the crockery and utensils you’d expect to find including kettle, toaster and sandwich toaster. The washing machine is located in the utility room and there is a clothes airer, iron and ironing board as well as a permanent clothes line on the rooftop terrace.

The house is fully air conditioned, with separately controlled units in the lounge and each bedroom, and for chilly winter nights there is full gas central heating. Additionally the units in the bedrooms and bathrooms provide electric heating, and there is a small electric fan heater for the lounge. There is also a large storage cupboard whith additional hanging and drawer space which houses the digital safe (free for clients use). For additional security and to keep out the sun on hot summer days, all the double glazed windows have external blinds and secure locks, and entry to the resort is controlled by security guards who patrol on a 24 hour basis.

We offer our home to you at a price which includes all utility charges, bedding, hand towels, bath sheets and large beach towels (one set per guest) which will be changed after the first week at no cost. For stays of over two weeks or parties of more than 4 people there is a small additional cost for linen changes. We also provide a complimentary welcome pack of essential items (water, milk, tea, coffee, sugar etc) at no charge so that you can make that important cup of tea or coffee when you arrive.

Our English key holders, who live at La Torre, will greet you at our home on your arrival (if you arrive in the middle of the night this will be the following morning although arrangements will be made for you to collect the keys), give you the keys and explain where everything is. Please note that whilst we will try to allow you to arrive and depart to suit your flight times, this may not be possible if we have other guests in the property when you leave or arrive, (changeover days) and we must ask you to allow time for our home to be cleaned and made ready. In these instances, arrival/departure times as advised below will be observed.

We strongly recommend that to fully take advantage of this beautiful area you hire a car which can be collected at the airport. Both San Javier and Alicante airports are well serviced with several rental companies and La Torre is easily accessible, being only 20 minutes drive from Murcia airport and around 50 minutes from Alicante. However should you just want to spend your holiday relaxing on resort, we can arrange private transfers to and from San Javier airport (additional cost).

 

Our keyholders live on resort, and will provide you with their contact number so they will be on hand should any problems arise.

Whilst we include a welcome pack for your convenience, special occasions can be catered for at extra cost - just let us know in advance what your requirements are.

For guests with young children we can arrange for the rental of a wide range of equipment including travel cots, high chairs, full size cots, bedding and buggies. We kindly ask that you notify us of your requirements at the time of booking to ensure availability.

Sierra Espuna Southwest of Murcia city. This is the Sierra de Espuna, one of Spains renowned natural parks.

AquaPolis Torrevieja Water Park has a selection of water rides for all the family to enjoy.

Terra Natura Murcia is split in to three different area, the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya, and an area that replicates the Iberian flora and fauna plus a small aquapark with water slides etc.

Dos Mares Shopping Complex has a wide selection of shops and a food court. It also has an Eroski supermarket. The complex is situated on exit 777 on the main AP7 dual carriageway, only 15 minutes from La Torre and is open every day of the year.

Murcia shopping : Nueva Condiminium Shopping Centre - the indoor shopping mall has a wide ranges of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Thader Shopping Centre - has shops, cafes and restaurants outdoors and indoors. Opposite the Thader centre is the famous Ikea homestore.

Cartagena shopping: Mediterraneo Retail Park & Shopping Centre - with three large electrical superstores including Media Mart, various sports superstores, Toys r Us, home stores, restaurants and a Carrefour Hypermarket.
Cartagena has many shops including a large Carrefour supermarket and an El Corte Ingles department store in the town centre.
 

The front garden is east facing and the ground floor terrace west facing. There is an upper terrace leading from the master bedroom and a further roof top solarium. Both these terraces have the benefit of the sun all day, and have uninterrupted views of the almond orchards and mountains beyond. Additionally the roof top solarium offers complete privacy in an unoverlooked position. The property is enclosed by fencing for additional privacy and there is a brick built barbeque on the ground floor terrace.

The villa comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 1 cots, 2 of the bedrooms with en-suite facilities. The property also has 1 double sofa bed located in the lounge. This gives room for up to 6 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The villa has 2 bathrooms and 2 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the villa cool. Central heating keeps you snug and warm.

The villa has television dvd, satellite/cable. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio. If you need to keep in contact there is a telephone for incoming calls only.

There is room for 6 in the living room and 6 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a dish washer, a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

The entrance is at street level, although there is a single step to the front door. There is also a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor as well as the main kitchen/living areas but clients would need to be able to step into the bath.

If you are driving there is private parking with the outside areas of the house having external lighting.
