Our apartment is situated within a charming private community, which enjoys peace and quiet, but with a variety of shops, bars and restaurants on "The Strip" (Avenida Espana) within a couple of minutes walk. So you can relax and soak up the sun at home in beautiful mature gardens and still venture out in the evening, without having to drive.
The local beach is about 10 minutes walk away and many other beautiful beaches can be found by bus or car, in either direction, all along the coast. There are ten golf courses in the area and a well equipped, public, sports centre with tennis/squash courts and a large gymnasium.

Calahonda is an attractive holiday village, ideally situated between Malaga Airport (25 minutes by car) and the famous city of Marbella (15 minutes by car). The nearest town is Fuengirola (10 minutes by car). Historical and cultural places like Alhambra, Ronda, Granada, Sevilla, Cordoba, Jerez, Cadiz and Gibraltar can all be reached on a day trip by car and the beautiful ski resort of Sierra Nevada is is only a two hour drive away. Ski one day and sunbathe the next! Or why not even take a trip down to North Africa?
Around Calahonda you will find traditional and regional cuisine as well as that of other cultures. Alongside Spanish restaurants, there are excellent British, Indian, Chinese, Swiss, Italian and French.

There is a large market on Wednesday and Saturday mornings in La Cala, close to Calahonda, where you will find fresh local fruit and vegetables, clothes, lace and leather. Dont forget to barter!

There is room for 6 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. The open fire can be used to create a comfortable atmosphere. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Review submitted by non-Villarenters customer: The property is situated in the ideal location of Calahondha. It is a very friendly place, but feels like your own piece of paradise as you laze by the pool where you never have to fight for space and often can have the whole pool to yourself. This is definately the ideal location for all ages and would recommend Casa Fiona to anyone looking for either a relaxing and peaceful holiday or a lively holiday.
