The apartment are located in the perfect place if you are looking for an exciting holiday full of beach fun, nights out, shopping and good international cuisine. Puerto Banús is a favourite with young and old on the Costa del Sol and is often a favourite haunt of UK and Spanish celebrities.
The marina in Puerto Banús is filled with giant luxury yachts and designer boutiques, with numerous Ferraris and Porsches to be found parked outside the bars and restaurants. The town is popular with all kinds of tourists and you will find yourself welcome in all the restaurants and bars. It has a chilled, low key atmosphere during the day and at night time becomes a lively and bustling area for party-goers.
The apartment are set in a quiet residential area behind the town and within walking distance to the port area. There are many International restaurants including Chinese, Thai, American, Italian, Spanish and Japanese. The 5 star Andalucia Plaza hotel is only 500m from the apartments, which has its own Casino for those who fancy a flutter. In the town you will find one of the biggest hypermarkets and department stores, Corte Inglés. Here they will deliver your hypermarket shopping free of charge at a specified time. Other, smaller, supermarkets are very close by.
There are some very interesting towns in the area, such as Seville, Córdoba and Granada. During the winter months the ski resort of Sierra Nevada is open, and only a 2 hour drive away. Marbella is known to be the perfect holiday destination as in winter you are able to spend time on the beach and ski all on the same day.
Gibraltar and its tax-free shopping is only a 40 minute drive away (remember to take your passports to enter), further in the same direction is Costa de la Luz with its pure white sand beaches and interesting old town of Tarifa. This is a popular destination for wind and kite surfers. Ferries are available from here to travel to Tangiers in Morocco where cheap goods are available to haggle for.
It is also worth a day travelling the Spanish country side and visiting the local ‘ventas’ (roadside inns) of the ‘pueblos blancos’ (white towns) such as Casares, Benahavis, Mijas and Gaucin.
The Costa del Sol is also known as the Costa del Golf for its hundreds of wonderful golf courses. Within a 15 minute drive of the apartment you will find Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Aloha, La Quinta, La Dame de Noche (24 hour Golf under lights), Guadalmina, Los Arqueros etc. Slightly further afield on a 30 minute drive is the famous Valderama and Sotogrande Golf Courses.
