The house is located in a quiet street in the centre of the village not far from the church. You enter through the street door into the dining room (4m x 4m); it is "open plan" into the cosy living room and kitchen at the back of the house, where there is also a small storage area. An air-conditioning unit is provided to maintain a comfortable temperature. There is an attractive marble staircase to the first floor where there is a window opening onto a small traditional balcony. The main bedroom (3.5m x 3.5m) is at the front of the house: it has matching furniture with plenty of wardrobe and storage space, a dressing table, bedside cabinets and large mirror; it has air-conditioning and heating; the bedroom window has a persiana, and opens onto a small traditional balcony. The second bedroom (3m x 3m) is at the back of the house; there is a matching bedroom suite with plenty of storage space, and a portable tv. Next door to the bedroom there is the family bathroom which has a bath and shower, bidet, washbasin and toilet. There is another attractive marble staircase to the the roof level, where there is a small covered terrace, which affords lovely views of El Torcal, and of other mountains and hills. The washing machine and tumble dryer are to be found in a room off the terrace. 

The village is a lovely place to wander around and explore: the local people are friendly, honest and helpful. For your convenience there are many small shops, bars and restaurants, banks and a post office. At various times of the year the people of the village celebrate their traditional festivals, and create a lively vibrant atmosphere for all to enjoy and feel part of. There is an English owned bar restaurant, frequented by English and Spanish customers, serving both English and traditional Spanish cuisine. There are broadband wifi internet facilities in the village. There is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool in which to relax outdoors. The unique Torcal National Park is 8km by road, with its unusual natural limestone sculptures and its new visitors´centre. Villanueva is very well placed for visiting Antequera, Malaga, the coastal resorts, Granada, Cordoba and Ronda. There are beautiful lakes about one hour´s drive away or less. Many of our visitors use the village as their base for exploring Andalucia, and tell us that it is a lovely place to come back to, in which to find a bar/restaurant for a relaxing evening after a day´s sightseeing. 

 

There is a small roof terrace from where there are panoramic views of El Torcal, and of other mountains and hills.

The village house comprises 2 bedrooms in total; 1 double, 1 twin and 2 cots. . This gives room for up to 4 people. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use.

The village house has 1 bathrooms and 1 WCs for your party's use. Air-conditioning keeps the village house cool.

The village house has television dvd. The music system will play cassettes, cds, radio.

There is room for 4 in the living room and 4 in the dining room. To prepare food you will find a cooker, an oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a kettle, a toaster. You will also find a washing machine, a clothes drier, an iron and ironing board. The owner has also provided cutlery, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils.

Smoking is allowed in this village house.

The four of us had a lovely fortnight at Casa Antonio in spite of the unseasonable weather. The house was more than adequate for our needs: a wonderful bargain! The village, and the local people were most welcoming: we enjoyed the tapas in the bar in the main square; we had menu del dia in Bar Torfa: another bargain! Xebar, the English bar, was friendly and helpful (free wifi zone). Our best trips were to Malaga, Antequera and El Torcal. We will be back! The Addleston family: Marion, Mark, Adam and Jenny.
