Malaga to Nerja holiday finca details
La Casita Bonita
La Casita Bonita is located in 4000 sqm of private grounds in the mountains above the picturesque whitewashed Spanish village of Sayalonga. IHere you will find local shops, supermarket, and half a dozen restaurants.A little further afield Competa has over 20 bars and restaurants. The coast is 20 minutes drive away at Torre del Mar which boasts the longest beach in the Costa del Sol. Nerja is only 30 minutes and Malaga can be reached in 40 minutes. Stunning views down the valley to the sea and across to the surrounding white villages from the pool terrace make this an unforgettable holiday home.
Our traditional Cortijo has 3 bedrooms, a double, a triple and a twin each with modern en-suite bath or shower rooms, an open plan lounge with log burning stove and a good sized rustic style kitchen with all modern appliances. All the rooms have authentic beamed and caned ceilings. At the entrance to our home there is a wonderful vine covered terrace and to the side the original old bread oven has been preserved.
The mosaic tiled pool which is approx. 8 x 4m2 is solar heated and has a tiled and balustraded terrace. The garden has many mature Olive and Almond trees and shrubs Tucked away below the property there are grape drying beds an original grape press and our very own ruin.

Malaga to Nerja holiday finca reviews
Diana says: "all the bedrooms were spacious and well equipped with cupboards. the lounge is a little small for a large family (we were 7) and the kitchen althhough needing an update was still very workable. the views were lovely and the property has a nice cosy atmosphere. the pool was great for all the children. we were well looked after by the representatives who came to clean the pool twice a week and made sure we were okay.
the access to properties in this area is normally via a dirt track and we had not expected this so i think it would be useful to prewarn people of this.
we had a lovely holiday at the property."

Firstly thank you to Diana for taking the time to review our home. As she rightly points out access to villas in this area is normally by dirt track. We are fortunate that for La Casita Bonita it is only a couple of hundred metres rather than kilometers as in many cases. We do send detailed directions including distances and pictures but I can appreciate that it is still easy to miss the final turning. I will alter the wording on our directions to highlight that the turning from the main road is a dirt track rather than just track. and maybe add a couple more photos.
As to the kitchen we realise that it needs something doing and have considered having it completely replaced. However we are very keen to retain the traditional rural charm of La Casita Bonita and feel a new "cottage" kitchen will detract from that. So as the kitchen is workable and has all the facilities needed we are biding time to come up with an appropriate solution.
